Tri-College NEW Leadership Development Institute

In Fall 2001, a committee of faculty and staff from Minnesota State University Moorhead, North Dakota State University, White Earth Tribal And Community College, and Concordia College began preparing a Tri-College National Education for Women’s Leadership (NEW Leadership) Development Institute.

NEW Leadership is a program that was initially developed by Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP) at Rutgers, State University of New Jersey to encourage women to aspire to public leadership positions and to promote diversity among women public leaders.

The Tri-College NEW Leadership Development Institute is being sponsored by the Tri-College University and will be held the first year at Minnesota State University Moorhead on May 23-27, 2004. It will focus specifically on promoting local-level public and community leadership among women of diverse backgrounds from Cass and Clay counties and the surrounding areas.
