It all started with two kids from federal way on one fine day February '01. One who played guitar for most of his life (Evan), and one who didn't know what the hell he was doing so he got a drum set (Cory). At first all they could play were MxPx instrumentals and old blink songs and called themselves Spiral 67. They were constantly seeking a bassist, and found a couple who didn't quite fit. So on they went still with no bassist and no microphones, and then one day someone named Andy heard from somebody else that Evan and Cory were starting a band and we let our bassist who we had at the time go and Andy joined. All three hit it off real well and one day at Federal way High school Andy tells Evan that he might have found us a bassist/singer, so Andy brings this Sam kid over and they get to talking and it just so happens Sam is now in Spiral 67. The first practice they all had together went really well and they had begun to start their first song, but something wasn't quite right, it was the name, Spiral 67, it sucked. So they brainstormed for a while and up came names such as, Orgasmic Weapon, Omega 3, and Bug smashed on a yellow curb with a friggin hammer cuz he thinks sledding is fun. But one reigned above all, and that name was, Mystic Jimmie. They all loved it when it was mentioned so they held on to it. The story behind this name comes from Cory's brother and his friend back in '98. They wanted to form their own band and they got the idea Mystic Jimmie from a band on the MTV show Daria named Mystic Spiral. They thought, and thought, and thought and came up with Mystic Jimmie, why Jimmie?, hell, I don't know, and I could really care less. So the four high schoolers inherited the name from the drummer's brother December of '01. From that day forward, the kids have been playing at high schools, Clubs, Skate parks, they've also been recording at places that turn out to be the worst sounding thing you've ever heard and places that sound pretty damn good. They are currently trying to make a living while trying to get the hell out of school with decent grades and doing their best to make their music. Other than that, they're breaking though as a four of a kind, with a bond strong as steel, never to be broken.
