One of the really fun parts about going to an auto show is the awesome cars you will see. The cars can and will vary between cars you can normally see everyday to very rare (and expensive) cars that you would normally only see in the movies. The above image is that of a Lotus Esprit, though the picture has been modified in Photoshop to give it an artistic flair.
Another rare car that makes people drool is the R34 Skyline. This Nissan sports car is only available in Japan, though some car fanatics will import it here to the states. It's one of the few cars that still uses an in-line 6 cylinder engine. The engine it uses is called the RB26dett and employs Twin Turbos to produce some amazing power. This vehicle is also known to many as the GT-R.
Now this is interesting. This is known as the Dodge Stealth,
however it is really a Mitsubishi 3000. It is built by Mitsubishi and it's even made in Japan, it just happens to be "badged"
as a (gulp) Chrysler vehicle. Some car owners like to show their individuality by giving their cars some exotic paint jobs.
What most people look forward to when going to these shows is the racing.
What better way to show off your car than to take it down the quarter mile drag strip? Sometimes it will take quite abit of time
of waiting in line to get your turn to race (left). Something else they do besides the racing is the burn out competitions. (right)
These can be exciting as well. At this paticular competition, they awarded the top driver with a new set of tires. Looks like they'll
be needing them after tearing through those old tires. The promoters line up various sponsers to help offset the cost of running such an event.
There are also DJ's which provide live music. The show cars are also entertaining becuase these drivers put alot of time to make their cars look all flashy (bling-bling).
Then there is the bikini contest that alot of the guys like to watch.
Big turnouts are always expected. 
Racers can even go up against the Colorado Highway Patrol.
