In A Vault

She's growing up so fast,
She doesn't realize that her future is vast.
She's tested everyday,
Things just never seem to go her way.
The frustration she feels grows more each day,
In the grave is where she hopes her bed will lay.
Things around her constantly move,
The marks in her arms are gaining more grooves.
No one understands her,
Her thoughts always evade her.
She's no longer a child
And everyone thinks she is wild.
Not yet an adult,
Her heart still locked in a vault.
The key is locked away,
She may find it, one day.
