The High Desert Mavericks are the Milwaukee Brewers high class A affiliate. Since their inaugural season in 1991, High Desert has been affiliated with 5 different Major League clubs.
Friendly Maverick Stadium is located in Adelanto, CA. Seating capacity is 3808 and there is also a grassy knoll that will fit quite a few more fans. Definitely a hitters ballpark, the field basically sits in a hole. Most fly balls can go for a homerun on any given night. I have seen some HUGE homers here that you would think Mark McGwire or Sammy Sosa hit. There is a huge scoreboard in left center field that I have seen a couple balls hit over.

Happy Birthday to me. I got some answers back from Eric Thomas today. Eric should be with High Desert eihter mid season next year or in 2005. He is a bright young pitcher that has much potential. Got into some trouble this season but I think, as do others, that he is very capable of coming back and doing alot of learning at the professional level. Check out the interveiw section to see what he had to say. Thanks Eric.

Well, I went to my final game of the season. The Mavs lost 11 - 1. I am so glad this season is over. But I just heard that Prince Fielder, Rickie Weeks, Manny Parra & Tony Gwynn jr. will all pass up High Desert next year. So we'll see how it goes. The last game is tonight. I really hope the Brewers will get some talent here next year. Next season home opener will be on April 12th against the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. So until I hear any great news or until next season, I say so long Mavs fans, see you next year.
