Document Retrieval Service

This service is especially designed for the budget minded researcher or the researcher who only needs one or two documents and has a clear definition of the document he/she needs. These searches have a flat fee structure (no additional charges) except where listed. The fee is paid in advance and is payment for the search time - not for positive results. Records cannot be found if they do not exist. There will be an additional charge of 30 cents per page for documents of more than 3 pages.

What you get: A photocopy of the document with full citation on the document, a brief one page report with citations and research centers listed. Even if the document is not found, you still receive the report with a citation for the record/records searched. If a legible photocopy is not possible you will receive a transcript of the data. If you need more than a couple of records, hourly rates may be more economical - email me for a quote.

Georgia General Estate Index, where available, if name and county and approximate year are known [$12 + 30 cents/page if over 3 pages]
Georgia Deeds where the name and county & approximate date are known. [$12]
Georgia General Deed Index, where available, for one county & one surname [$12 + 30 cents/page if over 3 pages]
1820-1880 census for Georgia only [$12.00]
Georgia Confederate Military Compiled Service Record [$12.00 + 30 cents/page if over 3 pages].
