Thesis Title: Proposed Pedestrianization of
Ortigas Center: Walkable Working
Environment

A B S T R A C T
This study aims to
provide different information and data about Ortigas Center. This will able to
show the situation at Ortigas Center specially the circulation along the
business district. This book contains the different problem arising along the
commercial center that was based upon extensive survey and research about the
business district. It will showcase the proper solution to the different problem
in regards to the pedestrian circulation and traffic along the center. There are
different option given to be able to properly solve the traffic problem and this
is by segregating pedestrian from vehicular to ease the
traffic.
The book aims to understand the principle and application of thermal comfort
that can apply to this project. It is about the design of outdoor urban spaces
for thermal comfort. It contains various case studies, local and foreign
structures that is highly similar to the Ortigas Center, example of this is the
Makati Business Center that is located also in Manila.
The book will present the segregation of pedestrian from vehicular and it
will showcase the pedestrianization of Ortigas Center that will provide comfort
and transform the center into a Walkable working environment and will provide a
landmark that will symbolizes the Ortigas Center.
