§     As a Chief Petty Officer I am responsible to provide guidance and leadership to junior personnel, as well as serve at executive levels of long range planning and implementations of those plans.

Assistant Department Head

§     Proven organizational and leadership skills as the Assistant Department Head of Facilities Maintenance as well as Operating Management Departments of a Hospital remotely located on the Marine Corps Base in Twentynine Palms, CA.

§     Supervise 27 Civilian employees.

§     Recently awarded the Navy and Marine Corp Achievement Medal for superior service, also carrying out role of Chief Master at Arms.

§     As Security Manager, I ensure the safety and security of government equipment, personnel and installations. Investigated security and safety violations and wrote detailed incident reports. Ensure that all regulations are followed and all discrepancies are corrected. Also serves as organizations highest security/law enforcing individual.

§     Consistently maintain emphasis on Process Improvement by implementation and evaluation of processes to ensure highest standards possible are upheld, while maintaining safety as a top priority.

Logistical Manager

§     1998-1999

§     Supervised 20 supply specialists in daily operations, including evaluation and discipline.  

§     Utilized automated data processing procedures to receive, log, verify, and process over 60 non-standard and long term contract invoices for monthly payments.

§     Conducting extensive research in resolving questions concerning invoices such as shipping terms, prompt payment discounts, delivery schedules, status of orders and reconcile final balances for closures.

§     Collateral Responsibilities include: Chaired numerous awards & recognitions board, Sailor of the Quarter Board, Professional Development & Disciplinary Boards.

§     Customer Service Representative twice a month overseeing all administrative responsibilities on behalf of the Hospital Administrator .

§     Senior enlisted advisor for Preventive Medicine as well as Medical Services.

§     Directly supervised 65 medical staff members.

§     Responsible to recruit, select, train, evaluate, discipline, all staff members while ensuring workload management within standards.

§     Integral element in long range planning, organization and re-evaluation of processes.

§     Superbly handled diverse responsibilities at levels far above expectations of personnel in my rank.

§     Chaired several awards boards, professional development boards, conducted numerous trainings, for staff members, monitored and proctored Navywide advancement examination. 

§     Key player in achieving the Hospital’s successful JACHO inspection. Naval Hospital ,Rota, Spain receiving 99% score with a commendation.

Nursing Services Directorate Chief, Naval Hospital, Twentynine Palms, California

·         1995-1998

·         Supervised 110 medical specialist. Responsible for the directorate’s staffing needs and personnel issues, competency training, wrote position description, career training for advancement, recognition and discipline.

·         Demonstrated excellent leadership, management, organizational skills, communication, interpersonal, verbal, written, presentation and team building skills. In 1997-1998, I was appointed as the Radiology Department manager. As the manager I have helped in the researched,, purchase  & acquisition of of the Helical X-Ray machine that cost cost $700,000 and $200,000 for installation and training of Technicians.  

·         Played a key role for a successful Joint Accreditation Commision of Hospital  (JACHO) inspection in 1999.

·         Key senior advisor for Ancillary Services supervising 60 Technicians such as the Pharmacy, Radiology, Physical Therapy, optometry.

·         Stands Officer Of the Day responsible for all  the Hospital Administration.

 

1993-1995

Senior Medical Departmental Representative

·         Supervised 35 medical specialists responsible for medical records upkeep & medical readiness for over 1400 US Marines.

·         Participated in Operation Restore Hope to Somalia

·         Led a sucessful six months Western Pacific deployment

1992-1993

 Professional Services Manager 

·         Supervised 30 medical instructors oversees and advisor on course curriculum and training programs.

·         Later part of 1992, Appointed as the Clinic manager for 22Area Branch Medical Clinic ,Camp Pendleton, CA

·         Developed and implemented comprehensive desk guides or standard operating procedures that resulted in efficiency and effectiveness of the department.

Patient Administration Manager

·         Managed 14 medical specialist . With his leadership abilities the department have processed and liquidated over 100,000 no-federal claims, coordinated patient admissions, discharges and transfers, processed specialty appointments.
