
Privacy StatementLincoln University respects the privacy of the visitors to its web site. On college developed pages, with exceptions noted below, we do not collect personal data, attempt to write information to the user's system or track the user's activities outside our web site. Exceptions: Web logs - As with 99.9% of web sites, visits to the site are logged. Specifically, the info recorded is date, time, visitor's IP address, browser type, operating system type, page(s) accessed. This information is used for analyzing site usage for internal improvement. Application - The college offers an on-line admissions application form at the web site. Information is provided by the visitor and given directly and only to the Guidance and Admissions Office. Submission of an on-line application is a voluntary act of the visitor. Certain information provided to the college is protected from third-party disclosure by federal laws and regulations. Please see the Student Handbook or contact the Office of Student Services for more information. Request for Information- The college provides a web page from which visitors may request information about the college. In order to properly respond to the request, certain minimal information is required, which will be shared on-campus on a need-to-know basis. Submission of the Request for Information is a voluntary act of the visitor. Departmental request forms - The various departments on campus are responsible for developing their websites and may provide visitors the opportunity to request specific program information. Submission of such requests with any accompanying information is a voluntary act of the visitor. If you feel inappropriate information is required on one of these forms, please contact the college webmaster. Cookies - Although not currently implemented by the college webmaster, the college does reserve the right to use cookies for the purpose of improving site use by returning visitors. Some departmental webmasters may implement cookies for their pages. However these cookies must be used only in relation to accessing Lincoln University webpages. If you feel the above policy has been violated, please contact the college webmaster, noting the department and/or webpage. Student Pages The college currently allows students enrolled in classes that require development of web pages to post these pages to our web server. Files that attempt to write more than a cookie to the user's systems are forbidden. Students who attempt more than this or post malfunctioning scripts will have their files deleted and access rights terminated. Please report any such problems you encounter visiting student pages to the webmaster. Links to Other Sites Many of our pages link to non-Lincoln web sites.
