Mission Statement

SBTI is committed to developing the potential of each of its students and provide the opportunity for academic and personal growth, and personal intregrity coupled with concern for others. It seeks to create a climate in which all members of the community can freely think, write, research, analyze and criticize. It is committed to extending university resources to the entire world. It hopes to help students become effective citizens of the world who lead responsible, reflective, and creative lives. The resources of the University are organized and directed to assist students as they learn to:

1. Develop the skills essential to effective learning.
2. Apply critical thought to decisions in all areas of life.
3. Exercise responsibility in the local, national and world community.
4. Access, select and prepare for a career.
5. Acquire attitudes and understanding necessary for effective human relationships.
6. Complete degree programs off campus at a time and site convenient to adult learners.
