Who I am -
I am a Medical Office Administrator, trained to handle both patient and
client accounts. I have nearly 8 years of experience in medical billing,
accounts receivable, and hardcore collections. Using my knowledge of
medical finances, I strive to become an independent contractor.
What I do -
My objective is to assist physicians and specialist in getting paid
for services rendered. After a thorough investigation of assigned
unpaid accounts, I contact insurance carriers/claims adjusters directly,
retrieve the problem, then settle the accounts.
When to seek assistance -
If an account has not been paid for more than 45 days,
it runs the risk of aging. If the numbers on your 'aging accounts'
reports are accumilating because your staff cannot seem to find the spare
time to make necessary phone calls, you may be in need of temporary
assistance. Insurance calls are time consuming and can be overwhelming
to staff memebers who are tied into daily, essential duties.
Fees -
Because some accounts may have already been paid, but not posted,
or the patient may be liable due to coverage termination or the
patient may have exhausted the number of visits per calendar, ect...
there is a flat rate investigation fee of $200 per contract. For
accounts that are payable, my fee is 25% of money collected on
each account.
