BSFL to Expand to 6

Co-Commissioner Grant announced earlier this week that the BSFL will be expanding to 6 teams for the 2003 fall league. "We are in the process of fostering an expansion to 6 teams, keeping the same 3-player per team format," said the co-commissioner . He also said that fellow co-commssioner, Jared, agreed on the decision to expand.

Rumor has it that the new expanded league will feature a 2 division format with 3 teams per division. However, there has been no formal announcement of such a structure, so this is purely speculation. Also, there has been no indication as to a structure for the fall leauge schedule.

Grant had hinted at a league expansion since the first week of the BSFL, saying that it "would allow more players to be involved and increase the need for smart decison-making with regards to personnel matters."

As of now, the only thing that has been approved by both commissioners is the expansion to 6 teams. A divisional format and other details associated with the expansion should come some time over the summer, after the conclusion of the BSFL spring.
