Predator Walkthrough: Hunt

Date: July 3, 2211.
Time: 22:03 p.m.
Ninteen years before the Incident.
Location: Korari, jungle planet. Weyland-Yutani research facility. Weapons divison.

The research facility has obviously been attacked. There is only one survivor, a younger looking man named Rykov. The attacker is there as well, a Predator, watching Rykov escape. The Predator follows and eventually shoots Rykov with his plasma caster. However, Rykov is not killed, only badly wounded. He falls down a pit and later crawls out.
Man 1: He's gotta be around here somewhere. Life signs are weak, but he's alive.
Man 2: We need a medevac, now!

Time: Minutes later.
Location: Forward Pods, Weyland-Yutani Xenomorph Observational Facility.

Ivan: You're overdue for your medication.
Rykov: It slows the mind. I wish to be effective.
Ivan: Pain won't make you effective.
Technician: General Rykov! I've picked it up again. Definitely some sort of thermal anomaly.
Rykov: Meteor?
Technician: No, sir. It's slowing down. Sir, it's changing course. Zeta region.
Ivan: We have remote monitors there.
Rykov: Good. I want visuals.
The scene changes to that of a surviellence camera. We see a Predator ship.
Rykov: Ivan, call the containment team.
Ivan: Yes, sir.

Time: 9:08 a.m.
Incident: +6 days, 4 hours.
Hunt: +4.00 hours.
Location: Canyons. 3km south of the Forward Observation pods.

I have seen enough. The Zeta site is not Pilot technology. The scientists have dated the artifacts found there. They are young - hundreds of years old at most. I recognize the carvings. It is my enemy. Returned.
I should have anticipated as much. This land is too rich with trophies; it is perfect for their kind. Still, I will not fail this time. Although the scientists do not understand the full technology, they have already begun to unravel the strange gear. Given time, we will find their weakness. Given time.
* Hunt down the human prey.
Fischer: The energy surge came from this general area.
Blake: I'm not reading anything now.
Fischer: Well, there was definitely something here very recently.
Man: Blake, Fischer, check out that old observation post.
You begin this level equipped with Wristblades, a Speargun, your mask, the Energy Sift, Medicomp, and Cloaker. Switch to your thermal vision mode (blue) to spot humans. Then drop down.
Blake: Nothing, sir.
Man: If something was here, it's gone now.
Blake: I'm gonna take another reading, just in case.
Fischer: There's definitely something anomalous in this area. A low-level power stream, very faint.
Man: Double check your scanner.
Fischer: The equipment's working just fine. I'm telling you, there's something here.
Man: You guys do another sweep, just in case.
Blake: Hold on a second.
Fischer: I think it's in the trees.
The three technicians will run, kill them with your Wristblades to avoid wasting Speargun ammo. Or you can just follow them, it makes no difference. Also, you can collect their skulls, but this doesn't help you in the game at all and really has no purpose. Continue through the trees and you will find a small tunnel. Make sure your cloak is activated.
Man 1: What the hell's going on? We just lost contact with Group 2.
Man 2: I don't know! All squads, proceed to rendezvous point.
Kill the Marine here, then climb up the ladder to kill the second Marine. This is a good place to use your Energy Sift if you need energy, and also use your Medicomp, but you shouldn't need to. Anyways, stay cloaked and head down the tunnel. When you exit the tunnel you will be in an open space surrounded by water. The humans here may see you despite your cloak, so you may want to sniper at them with the Speargun from a distance. I highly advise doing this quickly though, as spear ammo is limited, so if you do use your spear, run and collect the spears from the corpses of the Marines you kill. Kill the humans here and move forward. Crouch jump up onto the small raised path and move along it, then crouch jump again up onto another raised path. Here there is a Predator, and he will give you a Combistaff. Now you can use either the Wristblades or the Combistaff, whichever you prefer, as both work well.
Again, this is a good place to use your Energy Sift and/or Medicomp if you need to. You can turn your cloak off for now and also turn your special vision mode off. Continue along the path and it will take you to another tunnel. Go through the tunnel and drop down into the forested area. Watch out for the pod-like plants as they hurt you, but you can destroy them if they get in your way. The pod plants are more difficult to spot if you are using your vision modes. Now look up for a ledge to the right of the one you dropped down from. Jump up into the tree nearby where you dropped down, then jump over to the tree near the ledge you want to go to, and jump to the ledge. If you lose your bearings, you want to get to the ledge with the green plants on it. Cloak before you continue through the tunnel at the ledge, and turn your thermal vision mode back on. This will take you to anotehr forested area with three Marines. Kill them then look for a ledge near where the Marines were. Jump up using the nearby tree to reach the ledge, head down the tunnel, and swim through the water. It will deactivate your cloak with that's not a problem. Walk out of the water.
Man 1: Movement!
Man 2: Where?
Man 1: From that cave.
Man 2: Hold your positions.
Cloak, as two Marines are headed your way. Kill them then exit this tunnel. There are two more Marines outside that should not see you if you are cloaked, so kill them as well. Now walk along the land towards two more Marines in the distance. They will probably see you despite your cloak, but the Predator on the ledge above them will kill them with a Speargun. When you approach the bodies not only will the Predator give you a Disc, but you can also get two spears for ammo. Continue along and head towards the area where you can see steam. There are three Marines here that won't see you if you are cloaked. Take the spiralling path up around the waterfall.
Man 1: Stay lively. More hostiles possible.
Man 2: Clear. I'm seeing all clear.
Man 1: Bravo team reporting targets down. Two contained. Tell the Doctor the EMPs are a success.
Radio: Load cargo for immediate evacuation. Please confirm number of contained specimens.
Man 1: Two confirmed. Request shift to status green.
Radio: Negative, soldier. Status is still Red. We have no positive headcount. Stay sharp. Commence search.
Man 1: Roger. Okay, boys, search by twos.
Radio (Rykov): Bravo team. Abort that order. Pull back immediately. Surprise has been lost.
Radio: You got that?
Man 1: Roger. Let's go. Fall back by squads to the APCs. Move it.
Man 2: We can't raise the survey team on the emergency channel.
Man 1: Keep trying. We need to evacuate those people ASAP. Something big's going on.
Man 2: We're approaching their position now.
Kill the two Marines at the top of this path and enter the tunnel here. Drop down and make sure you are cloaked, as there are many Marines in this area. Kill them all and use your Energy Sift and Medicomp.. you'll need to be at full health. Then head towards the tunnel near the APC door.
Radio 1: Bravo team to base, hostile fire confirmed. We've lost contact with Alpha team.
Radio 2: Pull back, Bravo. Get the specimens out of there.
Head down the tunnel. Here you will see two Marines and two Aliens battling it out. Usually, the Aliens kill one Marine and the remaining Marine will kill the two Aliens. If a Marine is still alive, kill him. Then switch to your electromagnetic vision mode (red), which is used to see Aliens. Head out into the water and don't worry about your cloak being deactivated. Pull out your Speargun. You'll hear a loud screech as you move forward. Look around for your target, there should be a praetorian somewhere in this area. When you find it, wait for it to get fairly close. One good shot to its head with the Speargun will kill it. Collect the spear from the Alien's corpse and you'll have completed the level.
