AvP Bestiary
Pictures coming soon!
Egg
It just sits there. Nothing comes out of it, you can destroy them though.
Facehugger
You only encounter these in the Marine and Predator single player missions. They crawl around on the floor very fast. When they approach you, they pause briefly before leaping at your face. If you get facehugged, the game is automatically over. They have acid blood, but it shouldn't hurt you unless you walk over a freshly killed facehugger corpse.
Alien
You find Aliens in practically every level, and it is also a playable species. Aliens will mostly claw you for a small amount of damage, but they can also hit you with their tail for more damage, or bite you with their secondary jaws for even more damage. They can be found crawling on walls and often attack in groups. Don't forget about their acidic blood.
Predalien
These are found fairly often in Co-op mode, and rarely (usually alone) in the Marine and Predator single player missions. It is far more powerful than the basic Alien, but is also slower. You will be able to recognize its roar easily. The Predalien attacks like a regular Alien, and still has acid blood.
Praetorian
The praetorian is a royal guard, so it is usually only found guarding the Queen. They are rarely encountered in both Co-op mode and Marine and Predator single player missions. The praetorian is stronger and faster than the Predalien, but not quite up to the Queen's strength. It also takes longer to kill, and has acidic blood.
Queen
She is found only in the last missions of Marine and Predator single player. The Predator can attack her normally to kill her, the Marine can only stun her with weapons of explosive strength (Pulse Rifle grenades, other explosives). She is much harder to kill than other Aliens, attacks with her tail, claws, and teeth, and has acidic blood.
Predator
These guys are encountered in Marine and Alien single player missions, and is also a playable species. When fought in single player, they are usually fairly slow to attack and can be killed without too much trouble. They can attack with any number of weapons, but when found in single player they fall into three categories, one that attacks with its Wristblades, one that attacks with a Combistaff, and one that attacks with energy weapons (Shouldercannon and Pistol).
Marine
A playable species, and also can be encountered in the Alien and Predator single player missions. The Marine can be equipped with any of the many Marine weapons, but is usually found with the Pulse Rifle. They are fairly easy to kill.
Civilian
Found in any single player level, civilians rarely pose a threat, and are used mostly as food for Aliens. Sometimes they may be equipped with Pistols or Molotov cocktails, however.
Synthetic
They appear in single player levels. Aliens do not detect a pheromone halo around them, and Predators can see them with the Electromagnetic Spectrum vision mode. They are usually equipped with a shotgun that fires slowly but does massive damage.
Xenoborg
This viscious machine appears in the Marine and Predator single player levels. Although they are quite slow, their attacks are devastating. It has a laser beam attack, and even if you deactivate it, it can reactivate itself after a short time. You can only destroy it completely with the heaviest of weapons.
