ABC gig
Thanks to all those who attended our gig on Saturday 21 June at the ABC2!
New drummer wanted
We are currently looking for a talented and technically adept drummer. The preferred candidate will be able to bring their own individual flair and interpretation to songs that have been around for rather a long time. If you have a good sense of humour (you'll need it) and a desire to play music a wee bit different from your run-of-the-mill rock and roll formula, please get in touch with us by sending an e-mail ASAP outlining your previous experience, musical tastes and giving us some basic info about yourself.
MySpace site
Why not go have a wee look at our MySpace site? You can listen to a few tracks, view some pictures, leave us a message or get in touch with many other like-minded rock and rollers through our network of friends (which you really must join, if you ain't already on there!). Yee haw. Follow this link: www.myspace.com/thisisarchangel

The Masterplan
2001 wasn't a great year for beer, but it was a great year for rock and roll! archAngel are a Glasgow-based outfit, formed in Stirling in the summer of 2001, and performing live around Scotland since April 2003. Our influences are varied, but we come together somewhere between rock, alternative and electronic, with a wee hint of metal thrown in for good measure. Our music combines vast keyboards with sublime guitars and thunderous drums to create a sound which has seen us mentioned in the same breath as Simple Minds, Metallica, The Boomtown Rats, Billy Idol, Ultravox, Queen, Marillion, Runrig, Iron Maiden, Pink Floyd and, most importantly, Hanson. We like music, we like beer, we like the thought that one day we might have grandchildren who find this all very amusing. We are currently playing acoustic gigs while we are without a drummer, which has allowed us to explore otherwise unknown aspects of our music. Some people even prefer our acoustic sets to our full-band ones! Come hear us play...
