 What Is Access?

 

 

Microsoft Access is a database software tool that allows you to keep track of whatever information you feel is vital.  Databases can be created for business or personal use.  Access databases vary in size.  Some are very small while others are extremely big.  Why are some databases big?  Sometimes, information from other programs is included in the database while other times, a lot of database objects is what's making the database so big.

 

Database Essentials: Tables

 

Every database includes tables.  Tables lay the groundwork for the creation of other objects as many of the information inside tables is brought over to forms, queries and reports.  Creating tables will be discussed in the next section
