Halifax Emerging Nations Tournament 1995
This tournament was introduced to give countries who had only started playing league relatively recently the chance to assess their relative potential, and to see if any were worthy of gaining full international status.
Seven countries played 10 games over an eight day period during the course of the World Cup. Each country was restricted to three professional players. The competition was intense, and despite the lack of build up drew decent crowds.
The matches did not have full international status and do not count towards players' senior records
