Backgrounds for your Webpages

Background Tutorial
How to apply to your webpage:
First, choose you background. Right click on it, type in a file name, and save as. I usually save to my desktop, so it can easily be deleted later. Next, upload to your your webpage directory.

Go to your webpage in HTML, the code on your page should look like this:

Notice the code at the bottom of the script below (background="your background here", example is "oblue.gif", which is dark blue, see below, row 1, 3rd image). Add you background image here (files names vary, .jpg, .gif, .bmp) there. Next find a solid color that best matches the the your background image and add it to the BODY BGCOLOR="newcolor here" . In this example, it would be #000099, which is a dark blue color. Click here for a hex color chart (will open a new window)    @   Draac.com to find a close color match.

If you would like the background to be fixed on your page, add the code that is right after the BGCOLOR="#000099". Most webpage backgrounds scroll with the page, this keeps it stationary. Like my background on this page. I personally like the effect. .

For webtv users, here is the code: First, make sure you resize the background image to a width of 544 so this code work on your web pages.

As you can see, you are adding the nohtilebg novtilebg code to your body line.

I hope these tutorials were easily understood and applied; I tried to explain it as simple and concise as I could. Sometimes, learning HTML can be so complicated...lol
Now for the backgrounds, here is a few have made. Feel free to use them on your webpages or on your computer(set as background-tiled).
