Color Photography at Night

Skill One: What type of film

With colored night photography as with colored photography, you have to use a higher ISO film (800) in order to optimize the amount of light hitting the film.
If you were taking pictures out side during the day when its light out, 400 film should be fine for color photos.

Skill Two: How to shoot it

Because you are working in such low light you have to use a slower shutter speed and a wider F stop to gather as much light as possible. We were given set shutter speeds and fstops, but when your not given your own remember that the lower you go the more steady you must be. Now part of our assignment was to blur the photo so the lower speeds worked. But when trying this on your own, be sure to use a tripod.
