A tasteful and subtle drummer who is a master with brushes, Ed Thigpen is still most
famous for his longtime membership with the Oscar Peterson Trio where he replaced
guitarist Herb Ellis in 1959. Thigpen settled in Copenhagen in 1972 and has since
continued playing with the who's who of jazz as a freelancer. His most recent trio
includes pianist Carsten Dahl who always was a Thigpen-fan. ”It’s Entertainment” is
the title of the trio’s award-winning album
