Unfeasible idea of the century: sitcom set in life-assurance office.  But Marianne Carey’s Edinburgh-based series was more of an office drama with comic touches, exposing the corruption, naïvety and foibles of an entirely plausible group of desk-dwellers.  The cast included Fiona Bell, Wendy Seager and Tom Smith.  Series Two provided more of the same, with the staff of Lothian Rock now subject to the unwelcome attentions of a firm of management consultants.
