Perunding Bakti's professional expertise include in field of water resources engineering in relation to flood mitigation, damage and irrigation infrastructure. Our experience in this field includes the the Kemasin-Semarak integraded Rural Development project, one of Malaysia's largest drainage flood mitigation works.

In flood migitation, we design and supervise construction of the following:

Drainage And Irrigation Infrastructure Works

Kemasin-Semerak Intergrated Rural Development Project was desined to provide drainage, irrigation and flood mitigation facilities to the farmers in Bachok, Kota Bharu
and Pasir Puteh, Kelantan. This region has a population of 160,000 and covers 68,350 hectares. The Project is develop by Jabatan Parit dan Taliair and its estimated cost is RM 400 million. It is partly financed by Asian Development Bank.

Perunding Bakti provided the detailed plans, design and supervised the construction with other local overseas consultants.

Irrigation Pumphouses

Perunding Bakti has the expertise to handle civil, structural,
mechanical and electrical engineering on irrigation pump houses. Most of our work for this application was performed for Jabatan Parit dan Taliair. This Firm's involvement in pumphouse projects ranges from initial planning to supervising construction.

We serve as consulting engineers for Jabatan Parit dan Taliair on the following projects where the Firm upgraded or
constructed pumphouses and installed several 15 to 30 cusec electrical pumps :

Mechanical and Electrical Works:

     The Project's major mechnical and electrical undertaking is
the New Kemubu Main Pumping Station to be completed in
1989. Its comprises seven electrically -driven mixed-flow pumps,
each with capacity of 6.2 cumec. Each pump's motor is rated
920kW at 6.6kV, 50 Hz. This main pumping station costs
RM 13 million.
     When this Kemasik-Semerak project is completed,
19 irrigation pumping station will be available to irrigate smaller
areas in Kemasin and Semerak. Two tidal gates, one to be
operational in 1998 will be used to store water for dry-season
irrigation.
     Under this project, a total of 14 drainage pumping
station will also be built to provide flood protection mainly in the
Pasir Puteh area. UHF telemetric systems are used to monitor
water levels at strategic location water throughout the area and
this measure save water. Telemetric systems are also used to
check the operation of the drainage pumping stations
