Big Stevie has a sexual problem. Murder is how he has sex. And Big Stevie knows that there is no better way for a repressed killer to blow off steam than killing a bunch of care-free free-spirited teens. After her friends are all chopped, carved, and slashed, sweet young Aggie is left alone to face off against this unreasonable psycho. Now she's got a pervert on her hands. A big one. And Big Stevie's problem could become Aggie's problem real fast.
If you have seen some of the recent Hollywood horror films that have been in theaters lately you know they lack what the horror genre had years ago but with this new film the fun is back. I has pretty excited about sitting down to this low-budget Independent horror film since I am not only a fan but also a supporter of Independent cinema. I feel with all the big budget remakes and sequels coming to theaters today it is the Independent cinema that offers up the best as far as story and creativity goes. Murder Lovers Killers Too doesn't try to be anything more than just being a slasher film and that is just what you get. Form the creepy looking killer to the nice looking ladies and just the right amount of gore this delivers on all levels. The film wastes little time in getting the killings and from there it is non-stop fun. There is also some nice humor tossed in along the way to keep everything fun. The cast of unknowns do a very good job considering most had very little experience to start with. The cinematography I felt was a big part of making the film as good as it was, the long shots really gave you the feel and created just the right atmosphere needed for each scene. Murder Loves has the feel of the 80's slasher movies we all loved watched because they were just plain fun and this fits right in with all those classics. Like many others these film-makers have a great eye for making a entertaining horror flick on a very little resources, I look forward to seeing more work from these guys in the future. If your a fan of horror I recommend you check this out, it has all the elements of a good slasher film and it also has a nice twist as well towards the end. Murder Loves Killers Too is a sometimes scary, gory thrill ride that goes well with some popcorn and remember to dim the lights. The DVD comes packed with extras that include:
The Making of Murder Loves Killers Too
Creating a Killer
Music to Murder By: Scoring Murder Loves Killers Too
