Georgina is an ambitious young London professional who learns she has only one month left in which to conceive a child. After exhausting all possibilities with her baby-phobic boyfriend, Georgina turns to her wildly optimistic friend Clem, with whom she sets out to identify and "land" the perfect father for her child.
Infertility is not an easy thing for a woman or a couple for that matter to deal with but Miss Conception takes the tough subject matter and gives it a lighthearted spin. The talented and beautiful Heather Graham is Georgina, a 34 yr-old woman that just found out her biological clock is about to run out so she sets out to find the perfect match to have a baby with and it delivers some very funny results. Graham has been starring in a number of Independent movies as of late which I don't find to be a bad thing considering what has been coming out of Hollywood in last few years. If your looking for something believable and one that will make you think then I suggest you look elsewhere. Miss Conception is a film that doesn't ask to be taken serious because simply it doesn't take itself serious and that comes across to the viewer in a fun way. The supporting cast is terrific but this film belongs to Heather and she shines, she has got the beauty, charm and talent and she simply lights up the screen and puts a smile on your face. Now don't get me wrong, this is not without its flaws and there has been many better comedies that I have seen but for what it is worth Miss Conception delivers on what it promises, a lighthearted romantic comedy. Women will most likely enjoy this film more but I found it to be entertaining enough for men to enjoy as well. The DVD comes with Special Features that include: A Behind the Scenes and Previews.
