Joe has problems, his relationship with his girlfriend is on the rocks and he has a bad case of writer's block but that all is about to change when his friend JP talks him into going to Northern Wisconsin to take part in the annual polar bear plunge, a tradition that has been passed down to him. Joe agrees because he figures it will be great to just get away for awhile and maybe the change of scenery will help in getting his writing done but what he finds is much more than that. He gets a life-changing experience and it all begins when he meets a local waitress, Sif who just happens to be a hockey player as well. Joe is instantly drawn to Sif and it seems she too is drawn to him but there is one person that stays between them, her Sheriff dad. Sheriff Anderson like the rest of the locals is a bit off the wall but he also is very protective of his daughter and lets Joe know right off the bat that he doesn't like him, at least at first. Joe does meet someone who is not only on his side but has a alot of good advice for him too, Axel, Sif's grandfather. The two quickly bond and become friends.

"Feed The Fish" is a quirky, funny..often hilarious comedy romance that is also at times touching. Joe definitely is a fish out of water in this strange town but his experience there will not only change his life but everyone else he meets as well. If you're a fan of Independent cinema then I highly recommend picking this one up. Everything about the production is flawless including the beautiful snow covered locations, the amazing camera work and the script which is well-written and intelligent. Another fantastic thing about the film is it's cast including Katie Aselton as Sif and Ross Partridge as Joe, both are excellent and they have great chemistry together. Tony Shalhous also stars in the, you will remember him from the hit television series "Monk." Tony is a terrific actor, he is one of those guys that can express emotion by just using his facial features. He is hilarious here as the Sheriff and over-bearing father. "Feed The Fish" is a feel-good film that leaves you with a smile on your face and I am sure you will be telling your friends and family about it. The DVD comes with Special Features that include:
