Three investigations conducted by the Supernatural Phenomena Research Society are documented, beginning with the exorcism of a young girl in Louisiana, then on to an American Indian Poltergeist in Oklahoma, then finally a particularly difficult case in Dallas, Texas. Something haunts the tunnels deep below the Trinity River Community College, something evil. As they probe deeper below, it becomes apparent that they've invaded the realm of the son of Satan, and they may not all escape.

The Supernatural Phenomena Research Society are a group of men and women that are called upon when an exorcism or anything supernatural is needed, each member has experience in a certain field, you have wiccan, skeptic, priest, and techno-geeks and all play a big role in what the team does. We get to watch and witness as they are called out to different locations that are experiencing some kind of supernatural problems, the first is in Louisiana where a little girl is possessed. The exorcism is a success but at some point the demon passes through group leader, Rayne. I only mention it here because later in the film it comes into play but to go into more details about what takes place would only ruin it for those wanting to see the film so I am not going to give away anymore here. When I watched the trailer for the film I wasn't all that excited and the early part of the film was kinda slow so I wasn't sure at that point either but as the film moves along it gets much better with a few nice twists and the clever, unexpected ending really made this one of the better haunting films I have seen in some time. The cast did a terrific, each actor played their parts well which gave the film a more realistic feel. The productions values here were also much better than I expected them to be and Writer/Director, Joey Evans did a great job in choosing the settings which were vital to creating the right atmosphere, he also gets plenty of credit from me for his writing and direction here. What starts off as a relatively slow story begins picking up steam and by the time the final act rolls around it is a very suspenseful, creepy and frightening film.

There's been countless films made about hauntings over the last few years but "Evidence of a Haunting" stands out as one of the better ones, I was glued to my seat during the final 20 minutes or so waiting and wondering what was going to happen next. If you like these kind of horror films then I highly suggest picking this one up, it might seem a bit slow to start but stay with it and you will be rewarded later. Finally a horror film that doesn't need high levels of blood and gore to scare it's audience, congratulations goes out to all involved in the film and I for one look forward to see what this talented Director and his has coming next.
