The prototype of FF3us has been released!! Someone at SnesCentral has written an article about it. I couldn't help but to make a binary comparison against FF3us 1.0, here's what I found:

  00E1EA - 00E29F: DTE table

0101DC - 0101DF: inverted and normal ROM checksum

026A6C - 028C5F: compressed data contaning the first splash screen and the intro credit roll script

  0CEAD6 - 0D0018: ptrs to DTE dialog

  0D021D - 0EF1AF: DTE dialog

  0EF303 - 0EF304: Town / location names

10D244 - 10D3FE: ptrs to battle dialog (big window at the bottom of the screen kind)

  10DA0D - 10FE79: battle dialog

This means that this proto was near completion since only the intro and text was different.

Time flies... I just noticed that a bit more than ten years ago I was posting my first utilities here, FF3H and FF4H, the .SRM file DOS editors. Glad that I did not choose tripod or geocities back then.

Here it is, the article about MKII and MK3 hacks. The next one I want to prepare is about some old VIC-20 titles and will feature exclusive homebrew downloads!!

Geocities is going down in September!! With this alot of sites probably won't come back. I invite you to visit some of my favorite pages:

Final Fantasy IV - Everything You Know is Wrong, this web page elaborates on the different FF4 versions Square published.

FF3mans Final Fantasy III/VI Castle, a fun site about FF6, 1990s style, that even comes with a poll and a guestbook!!

S*T*A*R*S HQ ONLINE, a site about Resident Evil 1-3, there are even some exclusive RE1.5 pics in some sections.

Old BioFlames, the ancestor of bioflames.com, it's all about RE1.5.

PS2DIS - GETTING STARTED, instructions to a very nice, free PSX disassembler.

Windows Tweaks, Office Tips, Rage Pro, Rage 128 and PCA363RW Drivers, just what the title says.

Dual-boot with GRUB, instructions to make your PC dual boot with Linux and XP.

On another note, be sure to come back here in the near future, I'm preparing an article on the different MK2 and MK3 hacks out there!!

On the date of Tuesday, December 30 2008.

Here is a brand new editor for Mega Man 3!! Born from the ashes of a discontinued MM1GB editor and using code from FF3usME and FF3usSpriteEd, this tool edit maps of Mega Man 3 or Rock Man 3.
