Gujarati Samaj of Montreal conducts Gujarati Language classes for its members. Classes are held every Sunday at Blue Haven Chalet in Dollard des Ormeaux from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon. Students obtain a fundamental knowledge of the language; and they learn how to speak, read and write. A total of 26 to 30 classes are held in the fall and winter terms. These classes have been conducted since the inception of Gujarati Samaj 22 years ago and are open to members of the Gujarati Samaj of Montreal.

Special classes are also run for senior students who have already obtained reasonable knowledge of the Gujarati language. These classes are conducted through e-mail. The students and teacher meet once a term to review the progress. Gujarati through e-mail was introduced in 1998. The teaching through e-mail is open to non-members; a nominal fee will be charged to non-members.
