There are two ways to meet recertification requirements: 1) submit evidence of successful completion of 100 contact hours of continuing education in nursing within the five years period preceding the date of expiration of the certification period. At least 20% of the contact hours must directly address holistic nursing. The remaining contact hours can be related to holistic nursing. Contact hours must be approved by a licensing board, credentialing body, educational institution or other qualified individual or organization. 2) Sucessfully complete the full certification process. For more information, contact AHNCC at ahncc@flash.net (link is provided below).

Recertification packets must be received at AHNCC Headquarters prior to expiration date of Certification.

Recertification packets and regulations will be sent to the HNC approximately three months prior to expiration date. For additional information and/or to receive the Recertification Packet by electronic mail, contact the Executive Director, the American Holistic Nurses' Certification Corporation at ahncc@flash.net.
