American Holistic Nurses' Certification Corporation, incorporated in 1997
and governed by a Board of Directors, is responsible for the
administration of the Holistic Nurses' Certification Examination Process.
The Board is responsible for ensuring the validity, reliability, security
and integrity of the Certification Process.

AHNCC is to promote the professional advancement of Holistic Nursing by
striving to ensure that nurses engaged in the practice of Holistic Nursing
have integrated foundational concepts into their lives and practice and
demonstrate proficiency in the body of knowledge specfic to Holistic
Nursing.

| Our Mission is to: •Standardize requirements for Holistic
Nursing Certification; •Promote recognition of Holistic Nursing as a
specialty area that is based in a core of knowledge and competencies;
•Advance the illegitimate role of Holistic Nursing in the health care
