Pesto Switzer

The Pam Todd and Pest Page

Pesto adopted her mom and dad in the middle of April, 2000. They were just perusing through the pet store, and as usual they went to the back to see all the Humane Society kitties that the pet store were trying to adopt out. There, in one of the cages was a tiny little black cat, who looked at her mom and dad-to-be and opened her little mouth wide in soundless meows. Both we quite taken by her, but hadn't been planning to adopt a kitty right then, so they left the store. On the way home, they realized that they had fallen in love with the tiny black cat, and vowed to return the next day and adopt her. The next morning they were at the pet store before it even opened, and when it did opent hey ran back to make sure the little black angel was still there-- and she was! SO they filled out the adoption forms, and took the little black kitty home. Pesto (who was named after they saw her that first time) hid in the closet for a few hours, but quickly adapted to her new home. She has been the ruler of the roost ever since, and has brought undefinable, unending joy to her parents ever since, Pesto was 5 and a half months then, and still hasn't grown much bigger than she was he day she made her mom and dad fall in love with her. He is a bratty little girl who gets her way more often than she should. but she pays mom and dad back with endless licks, talking and head butts. She is very aware of her beauty, and cleans herself meticuously and always when she isn't cleaning her parents! She is especially special to her mom, who had not experienced the joy of cat love until Miss Pest came along.
