Statewide Conference Vendors Guidelines
Vendors participating in the Spring 2000
M.E.Ch.A. Statewide Conference must adhere to the following criteria in
order to participate as vendors. M.E.Ch.A. de UC Santa Cruz will
have the ultimate authority in deciding whether materials are appropriate
for distribution or display at the Conference.

Vendor's merchandise must be Chicana/o oriented,
so there shall be no promotions of any national colors.

There shall be no submissive or degrading portrayal
of women in any materials to be displayed or sold.

There shall be no merchandise that contradicts
M.E.Ch.A.'s philosophies, goals, and objectives.

No promotion of alcohol or drugs will be permitted.

There shall be no negative portrayals of Chicana/os.
-
Merchandise shall promote the essence of Chicanismo.

Only M.E.Ch.A. chapter vendors will be allowed
to sell items with the M.E.Ch.A. logo

If you are a M.E.Ch.A. chapter, your chapter
will not be allowed to sponsor outside organizations for vending purposes.
All merchandise sold must belong to the specific M.E.Ch.A. chapter allocated
to the vending space for fundraising purposes only.
Limited spaces are available for M.E.Ch.A.
chapter vendors. Spaces will be assigned on a first come, first serve
basis. Once a number of spaces have been allocated, no exceptions
will be made. All vendors are encouraged to register as soon as possible.
Any vendor who does not adhere to the vendor guidelines will forfeit their
space at the Spring 2000 M.E.Ch.A. Statewide Conference at UC Santa Cruz.
