Spring 2005 WILD Film Festival

The WILD Film Festival is a bi-annual student film showcase for Mrs. Gulledge's Mass Media & Society class at Benjamin Russell High School in Alexander City, AL. During the last 4 weeks of the semester, the class divides into production groups. Each group creates their own student film as part of their final exam grade. The students are required to do the following:

*create a film concept and "pitch" it in a typed proposal

*once given the greenlight, write an original screenplay

*draft a storyboard

*film the production

*edit the production

*create an original music score

*develop a marketing campaign

Student films will air on our school's closed-circuit television system, and the student body will vote online for "Best Picture." Awards are also given for the following categories:

*Best Director

*Best Actor

*Best Actress

*Best Editing

*Teacher's Choice Award
