Growing up, Joey Fatone's favorite subjects were always drama and chorus. He was in numerous drama productions during High School such as MacBeth, Damn Yankees, West Side Story, Guyz and Dolls, and The Music Man. Also, he was the wolfmam in Beetlejuice at Vniversal Studios.
That was where Joey was actually discovered. *Nsync's former manager Lou Pearlman took Chris, Justin, and JC to the show because they were looking for a 4th member. Joey was their obvious pick. All of them got along very well and they were off to find a 5th member.
One of Joey's biggest attributions to the group is his charisma. He's definately the type that knows how to cheer people up when they're down with his silly sense of humor and goofiness.
Joey has been in 2 movies so far, not including his appearance with the rest of the guys in LONGSHOT. MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING was his first film, which he did first, but was released after ON THE LINE. MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING is a good comedy for the whole family and is now out on VHS/DVD.
During *Nsync's hiatus, Joey has been at New York performing in the Broadway Show Rent. So many people have went to see this show just because they knew that he was in it. Joey says that him being on Broadway has attractive a younger audience that normally don't go to Broadway shows.
