Our Review:

Avril Lavigne sounds like she lifted this album straight out of her diary. Not that there's anything wrong with that--her lyrics speak directly to the teen troubles most of her female fans are probably going through (see: boys). The Canadian rocker looks like a (prettier) member of Sum 41, sounds like a slightly less-pissed Alanis Morissette and has the streetwise 'tude of Pink. Thus, her tunes range from the pop-punk of "Sk8er Boi" to the perfect pop prance of "Complicated" to heart-tugging ballads like "I'm with You." Now, if we could just trade her for Celine Dion...
