You Really Got a Hold On Me

Jenna looked out into the audience from the stage, she stared at that familiar face in the crowd. Well, there were five familiar faces in the crowd but only one she cared about for this song. The music started up on the karaoke machine but she didn’t need the words on the screen. She new this one by heart.

“I don't like you, but I love you.
Seems that I'm always thinking of you.”

Jenna sang as she stared out at him and his hazel eyes. This song was too close to her heart.

“Oh, oh, oh,
You treat me badly.
I love you madly.
You've really got a hold on me.
You've really got a hold on me, baby.”

His eyes followed her across the stage as she walked from one side to the next. He knew that this song was for him. The other four had no clue what was going on between them. They all thought that they hated each other, which in a way they did. But there was something else there that she couldn’t let go of. His kisses, his touch, she craved it like she craved water on a hot day. No matter how much he gave her, it was never enough.

“I don't want you, but I need you.
Don't want to kiss you, but I need to.
Oh, oh, oh
You do me wrong now, my love is strong now.
You've really gotta hold on me.
You've really got a hold on me, baby.”

If only he wasn’t such a dick about everything. Right now he looked so smug it killed her. He knew, he knew that it was all about him. He knew that he had her in his grasp and she couldn’t leave.

“I love you and all I want you to do
Is just hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me.”

He always came to her when he needed to satisfy his needs and she always accepted him. Other than that he could care less if she even existed.

“I want to leave you, don't want to stay here.
I don't want to spend, just one more day here.
Oh, oh, oh,
I want to split now, I just can't quit now.
You've really got a hold on me.
You've really got a hold on me, baby.”

Jenna couldn’t even look at other guys because all she thought about was him and the way he touched her. But Justin had no problem looking at other girls. In fact he had a “public” girlfriend and she, sadly, was just a fuck mate, because his girlfriend never gave him enough of what he needed. But his girlfriend was the type of girl he “should” date and she definitely wasn’t. Jenna hated him for how he treated her, more over she hated herself for staying in the situation.

“I don't want you, but I need you.
I don't want to kiss you, but I need to.
Oh, oh, oh
You do me wrong now, my love is strong now.
You've really gotta hold on me
You've really got a hold on me, baby.
I love you and all I want you to do
Is just hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me.”

She knew, just as he knew that she wouldn’t leave him because,

“Baby, You've really got a hold on me,
You've really got a hold on me.”
