Jennifer
O'Dell
Often
compared to a young Sharon Stone, Jennifer O’Dell
is well on her way to becoming a household name.
One rarely finds an accomplished actor with as many
natural and learned talents and skills as California-born
Jennifer O’Dell. Currently seen in television’s
Lost World, where she plays “Veronica”,
Jennifer spent three years in Australia filming
the popular TV series. In the past six months, Jennifer
has guest starred on several shows including; Las
Vegas, She Spies, Charmed, and Scrubs.
On
location in Australia and during the shooting of
Lost World, Jennifer learned stunt and combat fighting,
which added two more skills to her already long
list of talents, which in addition to acting, modeling,
singing and dancing, includes boxing and kick boxing,
water and jet skiing, roller skating and horseback
riding.
Since
returning from Australia Jennifer shot the lead
in the independent romantic comedy, Window Theory,
opposite Tom Lenk, Paul Johannson, Luke Flynn (Errol
Flynn’s grandson), Alexandra Holden and Carly
Pope. Filming took place in Victoria, Canada, this
past summer.
Most
of the time, however, Jennifer is acting and preparing
for film roles. Her initiation into the acting profession
began at the early age of eight, when she moved
with her parents from Hawaii to Southern California.
While training for a career on stage and in front
of the camera, she was cast in several film commercials.
Her
first movie was Sometimes they Come Back…For
More. Then came a recurring part in television’s
Beverly Hills 90210, followed with appearances in
NBC’s The Profiler, CBS’ Diagnosis Murder,
the ever-popular Silk Stalkings, High Tide, USA
Network’s Extreme Blue, the HBO original movie
Only in America, and the syndicated Renegade and
Time Travelers 2. Her memorable role in the two
hour pilot Lost World led to her being cast as a
lead in the TV series. Jennifer also appeared in
the films Point Doom, and MGM’s Molly. Her
stage appearances with the San Diego Repertory Theatre
include Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, Grease
and The Good Doctor.
Jennifer’s
singing and dancing talents have been spotlighted
in music videos with the Backstreet Boys and David
Charvee. When she’s not practicing yoga or
tossing footballs, you might find her batting on
the baseball diamond, dribbling on the basketball
court or skiing the slopes somewhere; that is, if
she’s not in the gym lifting weights or at
the wheel teaching someone the art of spinning.
For that, she’s a certified instructor. Jennifer
O’Dell’s primary certification, however,
is voiced by the many directors with whom she has
worked, her co-thespians, and a growing number of
fans. |
