Two Weeks
(This is based off of a dream I had, with JC in it.)

He pulled away from her, but not after giving her one last kiss. "Sorry." He whispered.

"What for?" Nadia smiled gripping his jacket and pulling him in for another quick kiss. He smiled too.

"I have a crazy idea." His grin was wide.

"What is it Josh?"

"Two weeks …" He paused as if he was rethinking this idea, "if in two weeks neither of us find someone that we would rather be with for the rest of our lives, we marry each other." He sucked in a deep breath and closed his eyes hoping she wouldn't laugh in his face.

"Sure." She didn't hesitate to answer his proposal. JC opened his eyes and looked down at her.

"Are you serious?"

"Yes, weren't you?"

"I was." He smiled and wrapped his arms around her to hold her. She kissed him again. JC never wanted to let her go. "This is a crazy idea." He laughed.

"I know, but I like it." She rested her cheek against his chest and breathed in a smell she had become accustomed to over the years.

----

"I like this place. It needs to be redecorated, but I like it." She ran her fingers over the mahogany railing going up the staircase. JC watched her walk up the stairs knowing that the deal they had made was going to come through. Neither of them had made an attempt to be around others since he suggested this crazy idea almost a week ago. Now they found themselves looking at houses, some place for the two of them to live with each other.

She disappeared upstairs and he could no longer see her. He stood next to the realtor as she explained something about the house, but JC wasn't paying attention.

"Josh! You have to come see this view." Nadia said.

"Excuse me." JC broke out of his daze and went up the staircase taking two stairs at a time. He walked in the direction his friend had disappeared in. "What is it?" He asked stepping into the room.

She stood at the window turning around when she head his voice. "Look at the ocean." She smiled. He walked up and stood behind her.

"It's beautiful." JC smiled he wrapped his arms around Nadia and kissed her head.

"Can this be our room?" She asked him quietly.

"It can be anything you want it to be." He whispered in her ear. "So you like this house?"

"I love it." She smiled and turned around to face him. Her lops met his briefly.

"Then lets get this one." He nodded in agreement and reluctantly let her out of his embrace. Taking her hand he led her out of that room and back down the stairs to where the realtor still stood.

"What do you two think?" The lady smiled.

"We love it." JC smiled, "However we need till the 29th to make an absolute decision."

"That's fine, Mr. Chasez," She smiled. "I'll put your name down and call me when you come up with your final decision."

"We will. Thank you." Nadia smiled and allowed JC to lead her out of the beautiful home.

----

"Morning." JC smiled when she opened her apartment door. He handed her a cup of coffee as he stepped inside.

"Good morning." She said taking a drink, "thank you." She closed the door behind him. "What are we doing today?" Nadia asked walking into her room. Leaving the door open so she could hear him while getting dressed. JC sat down on the couch.

"I was thinking we could go shopping." He said loud enough for her to hear.

"Where?" Nadia asked pulling her shirt down.

"Zales or Jareds some place like that." He said nonchalantly leaning down to retie his shoe.

"Really?" She tried to hide her excitement as she walked out of the other room. Taking a drink of her coffee, Nadia, sat next to him to put her shoes on.

"Is that okay with you?" JC asked scooting closer to her on the couch.

"That's fine." She couldn't resist him and leaned in to kiss him. After tying her other shoe Nadia stood up. "Should we go now?"

"Sure." He smiled and stood up as well. Nadia grabbed her purse and keys and the two of them walked out of the apartment. JC waited for her to lock the door then led her down to his Jeep.

----

"Josh." She tugged on the sleeve of his shirt so he'd look where she was.

"What is?" He asked wrapping an arm around her waist and looking at where she was pointing. He finger directed his eyes to a white gold ring with a single diamond surrounded by an ornate design.

"Would you like to see that?" The salesman asked the two of them.

"Sure." Nadia's face lit up at the thought of that. He unlocked the glass case and pulled out the ring.

"That's really pretty." JC said. He could see Nadia itching to hold it. "Can she?" The man nodded. JC took the ring out of its case; he turned so he was facing her. "Hand please." He stated. She held out her left hand and he slipped it on her finger. "It fits perfectly."

"I know." Nadia smiled looking up at him and then back down at the ring. She reluctantly pulled the ring off and gave it back to JC allowing him to put it back in the box.

"We'll take this one." He smiled and let the salesman take the ring and his credit card to pay for it.

"JC?" She asked.

"Shh…" He leaned down and kissed her quickly. "How much is that going to be?"

"$1123.37." The salesman answered. He finished up the transaction and handed JC the ring and the receipt.

"I'm going to hold onto this." JC smiled and pocketed the ring as the walked out of the store.

----

JC walked into Nadia's apartment, it was still early in the morning. He held the ring in his hand as he walked down the hallway. Nadia's bedroom door was open and he smiled seeing her curled up and buried under the covers. She sighed in her sleep as she rolled over. JC walked farther into the room, discarding his flip-flops as he went. He pulled the sheet back and slipped into the bed, careful not to wake her up.

"Josh?" She mumbled in her sleep, but didn't wake up. Nadia rolled over again this time facing him. He made himself comfortable next to her and opened the ring box. Quietly JC took the ring out and set the box off to the side. JC carefully slip the ring onto her left hand. Nadia didn't wake up until JC moved closer to her. Her eyes fluttered open and JC smiled.

"What are you doing here?" Nadia asked. She brought her hand up to move her hair out of her face, but stopped seeing the ring. She smiled.

"What do you think?" He asked noticing her stop. Nadia leaned over and kissed him.

"I love you." She wrapped her arms around him.
