Days of Christmas
Twelve Drummer's Drumming
Marie paced back and forth throughout her apartment; JC was going to be there any minute. She knew what the index cards said now, and was anxious to give him an answer. Marie was straitening the pillows on her couch once again when the sound she had wanted to hear came.
She walked to the door, and opened it. JC stood there with his arms wide open. Marie stepped into them and gave him a hug. Then kissed him.
"No more days." He said when they pulled away from each other. "You look so good." He rubbed his thumb over her cheek.
"You too." Marie smiled.
"This is for you." JC took her hand and placed a box in it. Marie opened it. Inside the top half was a piece of paper with a question mark, and a ring rested in the bottom. "Will you?" He asked.
"Yes." She answered. JC took the ring out, and slipped is on her finger. "I love you."
"Love you too." He slipped his arms around her and pulled her closer. "You're gonna be mine, all mine."
Marie laughed, "I already am. Let's go inside." She pulled him inside and closed the door behind them. "Are there any plans for tonight?"
"Dinner with my parents." He answered. "Is that okay?"
"That's fine." She smiled. Marie sat down on the couch. JC lay down with his head in her lap. "You need a haircut."
"I do not." He looked up at her.
"You look like Shaggy on Scooby-Doo." Marie smiled and tugged on his hair.
JC changed the subject, "Merry Christmas."
Christmas to you too." Marie said.
"Will you marry me?"
