Jacksonville Wakes Up From Dream Season
(Marion, IL) The Jacksonville Dream failed to advance to the championship game in the North Zone Pony League Tournament. The Dream, a team consisting of 10 and 9 year-olds, ended their season with a loss to Joliet 8-0. Joliet was said to be the best team in the tournament, and they proved that on Saturday. Jacksonville entered the tournament with a 25 game winning streak and went 2-2 in tournament play this week. Brett Parker threw a complete game one-hitter on Friday to lead the Dream to a win over Michigan 11-0. Chaser Todd, Elijah Headen and Kyle Graham all had big days at the plate. eXe would like to congratulate all of the players and coaches, you had a terrific season!

    Ben Affleck Enters Rehab
"Pearl Harbor" star and Oscar winner Ben Affleck has entered a live-in rehabilitation facility for alcohol abuse. Affleck, who turns 29 on Aug. 15, voluntarily entered the Promises rehabilitation facility in Malibu on Tuesday. Promises is where Paula Poundstone and Robert Downey Jr. are undergoing treatment.

    P.O.D. Are Still 'Alive'
"We got a lot of video treatments from big-name directors that were terrible," frontman Sonny says of the script ideas the band received for "Alive," the first clip from their forthcoming disc, Satellite. One that didn't stink though was from director Frances Lawrence (who's worked with Janet Jackson, Aerosmith, and Destiny's Child, among others). The band was so impressed with his concept they used someone else's idea for one of their videos for the first time. "We dug it cause he really got what the song is about," Sonny says. In Lawrence's treatment, a car is struck by an oncoming bus. The teenage boy driving the car reflects on the "perfect" day he had while sitting in the rubble. "He has had the best day -- skating in an emptied-out pool with his friends, hanging with his girlfriend -- and then all of a sudden tragedy strikes," drummer Wuv says. "What I like about the video is it's kind of dark because the basis for the whole video is the car crash," adds Sonny.
