Can't Say Why I Love You

Chapter Thirty-Four

"That was incredible, Alex," Katie murmured as A.J. held her bare body against his own under the warmth of the blankets on her bed.

"Mmm," A.J. agreed, kissing her forehead.

"I love you," Katie said, walking her fingers up his back. He shivered, and she laughed and did it again.

"Hey, stop that!" A.J. complained, pulling her hands away.

"Well, fine," Katie replied, starting to roll out of bed.

"And just where do you think you're going?" A.J. wanted to know, grabbing her hand.

She grinned, mischief twinkling in her green eyes. Then she gasped and pointed behind A.J.'s head.

"What?" He turned to look, letting go of her hand in the process, and saw nothing. He turned back to see her putting on her bathrobe as she ran out of the room, and he realized that he'd been tricked. "You little sneak!" he yelled, jumping out of bed and pulling on his boxers.

Katie ran down the hall towards the stairs and shrieked when she saw A.J. pursuing her. She quickly bolted down the stairs. A.J. ran after her and tripped on the top one, sending him rolling down the rest of the staircase. "Owwww," he muttered when he reached the bottom.

"Oh my G-d, baby, are you okay?" Katie asked, going over to him.

He grinned and reached up for her, pulling her down to the floor with him. She yelped as he rolled her onto her back and pinned her to the floor by her wrists. Then he started to tickle her stomach.

"No!" Katie gasped between her fits of laughter. "Stop! A.J...." She shrieked again as he kept doing it.

A.J. suddenly stopped tickling her and smiled as he untied her bathrobe and opened it. He placed both of his hands on her bare stomach and started to cover it with tiny kisses, making a sigh leave Katie's lips. He started to work his way up to her neck, and she pulled off his boxers as his lips finally found her mouth, and he moved on top of her again. As Katie felt the warmth of his body on hers and sensation of his lips against her cheek, she knew that nothing on this earth could tear the two of them apart ever again.
