The Trail Ride
Written by Torrie DeMore

Outside school it's the end of the day,
to the barn where the horses play.
Inside my horse's stall I tack him up.
Down the trail I shout, "Giddy-Up!"
Along the stream we start to slow,
after a quick drink we're ready to go.
Except my horse is too tired to run
without any energy he is done.
Toward the barn we must head
before my horse decides to go to bed!
