It is almost midnight and Marc just left. I wish he would just find someone else to hang with instead of up my ass every minute. You thought as you walked to your room to go to bed. Getting into your night shirt, you got into bed. You laid there trying to go to sleep but for some reason the sleep would not come. Finally after what seemed like hours sleep finally came and you drifted off to sleep.
Finding yourself sitting inside a venue watching 5 guys up on stage singing and dancing. You sat there like you knew the one guy who would come over and wave at you. The alarm went off and you woke up and shut it off. Laying there you tried to remember the dream that you were having, but for the life of you all you were able to remember was that there was this guy on a stage that you liked very much. It was very frustration to you because you wanted to remember more about this dream and who this guy was because you really feel some attraction to him even though you can't remember anything about him. You got up and got ready for work and left.
AJ woke up sitting on the side of his bunk, thinking about the dream that he had. Being frustrated he put his head in his hands. Hey Bone, What is the matter? You got a headache? Howie asked walking up. No, I just had the strangest dream that I can't stop thinking about. AJ replied. Really, what about this time? Howie asked. Well, we were doing a show and I walked out on the stage and looked down into the front roll and there was the most beautiful girl I have ever seen in my life. AJ said still frustrated. Who was she? Howie asked. I don't know I never got to meet her, I woke up before the end of the first set. AJ said. What did she look like? Howie asked. She had brown hair and the most brightest blue eyes I have ever seen, and a body to die for. She was just unbelievable, I think I fell in love with her the minute I saw her sitting there. AJ said. Wait, hold the boat, are you telling me that you have fallen in love with some girl that you dreamed up? Howie said confused. Yes, that is what I am telling you, I am going to keep looking in the front roll of every show until I find her. AJ said rather annoyed. Bone man, she is just something you imagined in your dream, she doesn't really exist, come on Bone forget about it before you drive yourself crazy over a dream. Howie said as he walked away. AJ sat there thinking about what Howie just said and he had to agree. AJ tried to shake it off, but the lost in love feeling was still in his heart.
You sat there at lunch trying to remember what you could about your dream, when Marc walked up. Hey beautiful what are you so deep in thought over? Oh Marc, I was just trying to figure out what my dream was about last night, but I can't remember hardly anything about it. You said answering him. Who was it about? He asked. I only remember that there was 5 guys up on stage singing and dancing and one of the guys who waved to me, I feel like I know him but I can't remember what he looked like. You said really frustrated. Hey baby, it is just a dream, there might not be any meaning behind it, forget about it. How about I come over tonight and we order some food and watch some t.v.? I'm sorry Marc but my Grandma called me last night after you left and asked me to go to her house for the weekend. So, I am leaving right from work and going over there. You said. Ok, I guess I will just stay home tonight then. Marc said sounding hurt. You really didn?t care because he didn't care that he was intruding on your privacy every night. Ok I will call you when I get back. You said getting up and going back to work. At the end of your day you left and drove straight home.
CHAPTER TWO
Walking in the door, you yelled out. Hey is anyone home? I am in the kitchen. Steve yelled back. Walking into the kitchen you smelled something really good. What are you cooking? It smells wonderful. You said. Thanks, I am fixing pepper steak for dinner. Phil asked me to fix it last night but we went out instead. Steve said. As the phone rang. Hey if that is Marc I am not home. You said to Steve just as Phil walked in to the kitchen. Hello? Steve said. Nope she isn't home, sorry but I really have to run I am cooking dinner. Steve hung up the phone. So where are you and how long will you be gone? Steve asked. I went to see my Grandma and I won't be back until real late. Wait a minute here Kim, your Grandmother has been dead for what now 12 years and you have gone to visit her? Phil said really confused. See the thing is You know that she is gone, I know that she is gone, but he don't know for that to be a fact. So I am going to be home for the whole weekend all by myself and I love it. You said walking out of the kitchen.
AJ went through the rehearsal and the sound check with nothing but his mystery lady on his mind. He went back to the hotel to rest for awhile before the show started. AJ laid down watching the t.v. and wishing that this lady would be there in that seat tonight. When it was time AJ was back at the venue wanting the show to hurry up and start so he could see who was in that seat. Finally, everyone was standing around waiting for their cue to run out on stage. The dancers went first and then the boys went, AJ singing and dancing finally made his way close enough to the edge and looked to see who was in the seat of his dreams. AJ looked down and there sat a girl about 13 years old. AJ's heart sank down into his stomach. The rest of the show went great except AJ was disappointed. Maybe D is right she is just a figment of my imagination. AJ thought as they ran for their bus. So Bone, what is up with you? You haven't been yourself this whole day. Kevin said. Nothing, really I am just tired and I don't feel good tonight. I think I am going to go to bed, I'll see you guys later. AJ said getting up and getting into his bunk, pulling the curtain, AJ laid there in the dark trying to get this girl off his mind. AJ finally fell asleep.
Kimmy, dinner is ready. Phil said as he knocked on your door. Thanks I'll be right there. You said putting your book up and going to wash up. Walking into the dinning room the food smelt wonderful. You sat down where you normally sit at the end of the table. So Kim, why did you tell Marc that you would be out of town seeing your Grandmother? Steve asked. Because I see him at work, then I am with him most of the night until I practically have to tell him to leave. You know how I love to just sit and read in my bay window, and for the last 2 weeks I haven't been able to do that with him always here. He is suffocating me to the point of being sorry I ever said I would go out with him. You said rather hatefully. Wow, you have been in a mood ever since you got home, Kimmy, what is the matter? Phil asked. I don't know, I guess one thing is I am getting sick of Marc and then I wish my vacation would hurry up and get here. You said. Vacation? When is your vacation? Steve asked looking at Phil. It starts next Saturday. I have all of next week. Why do you ask? You asked. Well, because Phil won 4 tickets to New York City to see the Backstreet Boys and his niece Shelly wants to go but her mother won't let her go unless there is a woman with us to room up with her so Shelly can't sneak off without us knowing. Since you will be on vacation we were wondering if you would like to go with us. Steve asked. I don't know you guys, I mean I don't know if I want to spend the money to go see a group that I don't even know. You said. Kimmy that is the best part everything is paid for except your food and any souvenirs that you want to buy. The room, the tickets, the limo, plus we have back stage passes to meet them too. Phil said. Come on Kim, you have heard some of their songs and you have liked them. Steve said. What do they sing, I can't remember. You said thinking. They sing the song I promise you, Yes I Will, and they sing that one song How did I fall in love with you. Phil said getting up to put the CD in the player. When you heard the CD then you realized what they sang. Yeah, I remember those songs. Yeah, I will go, I would love to see what they look like and hear them sing in person. You said. Great, we were hoping you would go. Steve said. Plus Shelly will be excited because she will get to go too. Phil said. Great, but for now I am tired and I just want to go read my book. You said getting up to take your plate to the kitchen. Kimmy set that down, we will clean up, that is part of our quality time together is doing the dishes. Phil said taking the plate from you. Now go and enjoy your night of quiet time with out Marc to suffocate you. Steve said. Thanks guys, you both are the best. You said as you went into your room getting into your night shirt then cuddling up in the bay window with your book.
CHAPTER THREE
AJ was laying in bed looking at some movie but not really watching it. Damn why can't I get this girl off my mind, she is made up, she isn't real. She is from my imagination. AJ got really tired and couldn't hold his eyes open any longer no matter how hard he tried. Finally he gave into the sleep and closed his eyes. There he was again up on stage looking down into the front roll. There she was again the same girl! AJ waved to her and she blew him a kiss back. AJ felt true love shoot through his body for the first time in his life. Kevin came over and wave to her just like he knew her too. Hey, everyone, AJ would like you to meet the woman that has made him the happiest man in the world. Nick said walking over to AJ. AJ, you are one lucky man to have such a beautiful lady!, and we all wish you many years of wedded bliss. Nick said as he pointed down to the girl and introduced her to the audience as Mrs. AJ McLean. Damn it AJ swore as he woke up to Brian yelling at Nick for beating him at the video game they were playing.
You had been reading for a few hours and now you were getting really tired to the point of not being able to keep your eyes focused on the words. You closed your book and crawled into bed closing your eyes you went right to sleep. Only to find yourself sitting in the same venue watching the same 5 guys on stage again. This time the guy that had your attention didn't have any shirt on and there were tattoos all up and down his arms, on his stomach and back. He knelt down in front of you and whispered, I love you Baby, and you whispered back, I love you to Honey. as you blew him a kiss. All during the dream you still never got a look at his face unless he had on sunglasses. All of a sudden you heard your alarm going off. Damn it! You said shutting it off and rolling over trying to go back to sleep to finish your dream but you could not fall to sleep. You heard Steve and Phil up so you got your robe and went out into the other room.
Hey what time is it? AJ yelled out. It is 9am. Nick yelled back. AJ got out of his bunk going for coffee. So Bone what were you dreaming about? Brian asked. Nothing why do you ask that? AJ said looking at them. Because you were talking in your sleep but the only thing we made out was the word wife. Brian said looking at AJ. I have no idea what I could have been dreaming about. AJ said lying because he didn't need or want the two of them joking about his over active imagination. Howie came in sitting next to AJ with a cup of tea. So what's up bone? Any more dreams? Howie asked. Yes I did and it was the same girl and this time we were married. Really? What is her name? Howie asked. I don't know I haven't heard it yet in my dream, but I do know that I haven't ever met her because I would remember this woman, she is Beautiful and I mean Beautiful. AJ said looking at Howie. Alex, can you honestly tell me that you are in love with some woman that you made up in your dream, I mean after all, it does sound rather strange. Howie said as AJ got up and put his cup in the dishwasher. I know I am insane but something deep down inside of me says I will meet her. AJ said to Howie as he walked away to go get his things ready so when the bus stops at the hotel he can go right in and get a shower.
You stayed home all weekend, just reading your book that you were just about finished with. You felt relaxed and ready to face one more week of people and Marc. Monday morning you were up getting ready for work when there was a knock on the door. You go and answer it and it was Marc. You told him that you had to leave to go to work, why aren't you at work already? You asked looking at him. I got let go this morning. Why, what did you do? You ask looking at him. I guess they never found that thousand dollars that came up missing from the top of bank drawer. He said looking at you. So wait a minute, there was a grand missing from your drawer? You asked. Yeah, I got it and I spent it right away. Marc how can you just walk away from it all and not feel guilty about taking the money? You asked. I bought this for you. He said opening up the box to reveal a diamond necklace, earrings and a bracelet with diamonds up in there. Look Marc, they are beautiful but I can't except them they are to expensive and I don't mean to hurt you but I really don't like you in that way. A friend yes but not enough to take that expensive type of jewelry. No I can't do that to you, so take the things back and get the money and give it back to the bank. You said as you got into your car and left for work. The day was long but then again it was nice not having Marc around watching me like a jealous boyfriend. You sat there during lunch thinking about your dream and why were you telling some guy that you were in love with him especially when you don't even know who he is or even remember what his face looks like. Soon it was time to go back to work and the rest of the day went by fast. You were on count down. 4 more days left until I have a two week vacation, I can't wait. You thought to yourself as you got in to your car to go home.
CHAPTER FOUR
AJ followed Howie off the bus and into the hotel. Getting his key and going up to his room, AJ laid on the bed. Damn why do I continually dream about this woman? AJ said out loud to no one since he was in the room by himself. Looking at the clock he decided to get a shower and go to the venue to check out the seating to see if he would be able to see the person sitting in the seat that "she" should be in. I just wish I could find out what venue that is in my dream, then I would know what city I will be in to meet this beautiful mystery lady of mine. AJ started out the door running into Kevin. Hey Bone, where are you headed to in such a hurry? Kevin asked. I was just headed for the venue to see how easy it is to see into the audience from up on stage. AJ replied. Why who is going to be in the audience tonight that you want to see. Kevin asked not remembering AJ saying any thing about someone being there tonight. Kevin, have you ever had a dream that you could not stop thinking about and some thing deep down inside told you that it was going to happen but you couldn't for the life of you figure out when or even why you keep having the same dream? AJ asked not really making since to Kevin. Bone, what the hell are you talking about? Kevin said confused. Ok, I have been having this dream over and over. It is about this beautiful girl and in my dream I am not sure but I think we are married. Anyway, I see this girl in my dreams every night and I think I have fallen in love with her. Plus I have this gut feeling that she is not just a figment of my imagination but I feel that I will see her in the audience during one of the shows on this leg of the tour. She will be sitting front roll center. AJ said looking at Kevin waiting for some kind of response from him saying AJ had lost his mind. Kevin thought about what AJ was saying for a few minutes before answering. I understand what you are trying to say Bone, but isn't that a long shot? I mean after all this girl may or may not be real. The only thing I can tell you is if by chance she is out there during one of the shows make sure you have a backstage pass to give her because these shows are sold out Bro. And you will never be able to find her after the show. Kevin said. You mean you don't think I have totally lost my mind? AJ asked surprise. No, I mean they say if you have the same 3 dreams in a roll that is will come true. So good luck in finding her. Kevin said as they entered the venue.
Pulling into the driveway you saw Marc's car. Damn it why can't he just leave me alone. You said out loud as you got out of the car. Going inside you tried to sneak in and went right into your room. Just as you closed your bedroom door you heard someone coming into the hallway. Turning to look, it was Steve. You put your finger up to your lips telling him to be quiet. Steve walked up to you. Kim, Marc is in the kitchen. I know and please don't tell him that I am home. Please? Ok I won't but what are we suppose to do with him here waiting for you to show up? I have an idea, I will call the house from my cell phone and tell you that I am going over to see Shelly and help her with what to take to New York. Ok but what about your car, he will see it when he leaves. Steve said. No he won't, I parked it over in Jimmy's garage since he is out of town. You said with a smile. Ok lets do it then. Steve said. Steve went back into the kitchen as you went into your room and called the house phone. Hello? Steve said answering the phone. Hi Steve it is me Kim. We sat in silence for a few seconds and then I said Ok talk to you later and hung up. Who was that? Phil asked. That was Kim, she called to say that she wouldn't be home for a while that she was going over to Shelly to help her pick out what to take to New York. Oh that was sweet of Kimmy, Shelly will like that. Phil said with a confused look on his face but just playing along with Steve. What time did she say she would be home? Marc asked. She didn't really but she did say that she might be taking Shelly to the mall for some new clothes, so I am guessing she won't be home until around 9 or 10. But I will be sure to tell her that you were here and to give you a call. Steve said trying to hint for Marc to leave. Marc just sat there. Hey Phil, how about you and I go shopping for some food. There isn't anything good in this house to eat. Steve said. I was just thinking that myself. Phil said. Well, if you guys are going away, I guess I better head on home then. Marc said getting up from the chair. Be sure to tell Kimberly that I was here and would like to know why she is avoiding me, so tell her to give me a call when she gets home. Marc said walking to the door with Steve and Phil right behind him. We sure will Marc. Phil said as Marc left and Steve shut and locked the door behind him. Ok, what is going on, I know Kimmy didn't go to Shelly's house because she don't know where my sister lives. So what is this all about? Phil said following Steve to Kim's door. Steve knocked on the door. He is gone, it is safe to come out now. Steve said. You opened the door. Thanks You guys I owe you big time. You said. So you did come home, You slick little devil. Phil said with a chuckle. Yes I just can't take him around all the time, he is getting on my last nerve. You said getting a bottle of water from the fridge.
That night AJ kept trying to look into the crowd from backstage but the seats were to far away. Finally it was time to go on stage. AJ worked his way to see who was in that seat. AJ's heart sank when he saw a mother and her 12 or 13 year old in the seat that "she" would be in. Damn it all to hell! AJ thought to himself. I am driving myself insane over this girl. AJ said during a wardrobe change. So let it go Bone, I mean it is only a dream don't go making yourself crazy over it. Howie said. What in the hell are you talking about? Nick asked. Nothing man lets forget it. AJ said. The rest of the show went by rather slowly but it was finally over. Hey Bone, we are going out to the club tonight want to go? Kevin asked. Nah, I am really tired, all I want to do is go to sleep and not dream. AJ said as he walked out to the limo. Once in his room AJ showered then laid on the bed watching the t v. Finally his eyes shut and AJ went off into dream land yet again. AJ stood at the end of the stage looking down at his mystery lady. Baby, I love you. AJ said in to the mic. Isn't my bride beautiful? I am the luckiest man alive to have such a beautiful wife. AJ said. With those words AJ sprung up and opened his eyes. I can't take this anymore. AJ said trying to regain his sanity.
Kim was beginning to enjoy her dreams she felt like she was with the right person in her dreams at least even if she didn't know who he was or why she kept dreaming about him, but she felt like that was the way it was suppose to be in reality, not this hiding out like she was doing from Marc. You just let the dream happen with out reservations or without waking up all mad because you couldn't remember his face. When the alarm work you up the first thing to come to your mind was 3 more days after today then 4 more days before we leave for New York. You were really happy about going to New York but you don't know why, the only thing you could think of was no Marc for a few days, so you left it at that.
AJ woke the next morning feeling exhausted. AJ looked at himself in the mirror. Damn, Boy if you don't stop this worrying about this fucking dream you are going to end up in the hospital from exhaustion. AJ said to himself. They were back in their buses and headed for a new city. I can't wait for New York that is our last show for a month before the next leg starts. AJ said to his mother, who he was talking to on the phone. Son you sound really tired is everything going ok? Denise asked. Yeah the tour is fine, it is just I keep having this dream over and over, every night and it has me really consumed to where it is all I think about. AJ said. What is it about? Denise asked. AJ told his mother all about the dream and this beautiful lady who he is married to in his dream. Denise found it interested and they talked for along time on what this could mean. When they finally hung up, AJ was more relaxed and was ready to let the dream run it's course. He was finally able to stop letting it consume his every thought.
CHAPTER FIVE:
Kim went on to work with the only thing running through her mind was 2 more days after today! The day went by fast by keeping herself busy on her way home, you called the house. Hello? Steve answered. Hey Steve, is Marc there? You asked. No, but he has called atleast 20 times. He said that he called the bank and they said that you didn't work today. Steve said. I know I told them to say that. Marc can't come to the bank so I figured if I can avoid him until we leave, I will be ready to deal with him when we get back. You replied. I understand. Steve said. Hey I am on our street, I'll be home in a few minutes. You said as you both hung up the phone. AJ stepped off the bus, taking in a deep breath then exhaling with a relaxed sigh. Kevin was right behind him. Hey Bone are you alright? Kevin asked. For the first time in days I feel relaxed. AJ replied with a smile. What happened? Did you stop dreaming about that chick? Kevin asked. Nope, I just have a different outlook about the dream. That's all. AJ said as they both walked toward the restaurant. Kevin raised an eye brow. Really? How so? He asked wondering what was going on. Well, I have thought a lot about what this dream could mean instead of focusing or thinking just about the girl in the dream. AJ replied still sounding relaxed. Ok, just what could this dream mean? Kevin asked more interested now. Hey Kim, how's it going? Phil asked as you entered the house. It will be going great as long as I can keep avoiding Marc for the next 3 nights. You replied sitting down next to Phil on the couch. So, you have come to the conclusion that he is a pain in the ass? Phil asked with a chuckle. You laughed. Yeah, something like that. He never gives me any time to myself or even any space. You've noticed that when he is here I have him beside me every minute. Once I was in the bathroom with....well,....female troubles and he even knocked on the door wanting to know what was taking me so long. I mean I couldn't even be in the bathroom in peace. You said as Phil laughed. I know, I remember one day you were taking a bath and you must have fallen asleep because you were in there awhile, anyway, he sat here watching t v with Steve and I all the time he was going, Maybe we should check on her, maybe she pasted out or is drowning. Steve told him just leave her alone, she reads in the tub. So about 20 minute later, he got up heading toward the bathroom when Steve said, Marc if you disturb her, Phil is going to kick your ass. She went in there to relax with her head phones and a book, now sit the fuck down or go home. He finally after another 20 minutes, left then 10 minutes later you came out and went right to bed. Phil said still laughing. I know he is a pain. You said laughing along with Phil. Supper is ready! Steve yelled from the kitchen. Well, I talked to my Mother last night and we talked for a long time about the dream. I told her how this girl was consuming my every thought and how I looked for her in every show. She pointed out that instead of it being the girl that maybe it is a sign that happiness is on it's way for me. AJ said as their food was placed in front of them. But, you have Sarah, aren't you happy with her? Kevin asked. Kev, Sarah and I haven't been happy for almost a year now. Haven't you noticed that all we do any more is argue? AJ asked with sadness in his voice. I have to admit, yes all of us have noticed that when she visits or you talk on the phone that, yes it always ends in a fight but we try to stay out of it. Kevin replied. Well, Sarah and I need a break and I am ready to have it, just so I can have some happiness in my life. So, after a lot of thinking I have decided that it isn't so much the girl in the dream but the meaning behind the girl. AJ said stuffing his mouth full of his cheeseburger......
