The Little Prince of Pop, Aaron Carter joins the cast of the new Broadway musical, SEUSSICAL for five weeks only, from Wednesday, April 4 through Sunday, May 6, 2001. He will play JoJo the Who in the new musical by the Tony Award-winning team of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty.

SEUSSICAL opened at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on November 30, 2000. Thirteen-year-old Aaron Carter began his musical career began when he was seven, as lead singer in a band called Dead End. Since then, he set the world record for the most hit songs recorded by a person his age in music history. In March of 1997, he performed during a Backstreet Boys concert in Berlin, Germany, and stole the show. After the concert, an Edel Record Company executive offered him a record contract on the spot, and in the fall of 1997, he released his first single, "Crush On You." He followed that with "Crazy Little Party Girl," "I'm Gonna Miss You Forever," and "Shake It," all of which became very popular overseas. After going gold in Norway, Spain, Denmark, Canada, and Germany, Aaron's first full album, Aaron Carter, hit the stores in the US on June 16, 1998, and has been a great success. Aaron has also released another single, "Surfin' USA," a remake of the famous Beach Boys song. He also worked with such musical talents as The Moffatts, Backstreet Boys, 'N Sync, Gil Ofarim and others to make a single called "Let the Music Heal Your Soul." The proceeds of this single benefit the Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy Foundation, an organization that treats disabled and autistic children through the use of music therapy. Aaron also has a single on the recently released Pokemon soundtrack. Coinciding with the September release of Aaron's Party (Come Get It) were a tour and a book on Aaron called The Little Prince of Pop, penned by his mother. Aaron has headlined 2 sold-out tours in the US and has toured with Britney Spears. He has songs featured on the Pokemon Soundtrack as well as the Rugrats in Paris Soundtrack. His current single, "That's How I Beat Shaq," features video with Shaquille O'Neal. "Do not miss the best family musical to hit Broadway in a long, long time!" Jeffrey Lyons of NBC raved in his opening night review of SEUSSICAL, the acclaimed new musical that creates the witty, wild and whimsical world of Dr. Seuss as it has never been seen before. In SEUSSICAL, many of the best-loved characters from a bevy of Dr. Seuss books meet for the first time. When chaos erupts in the Jungle of Nool, it will take The Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, Mayzie LaBird and a gaggle of characters to bring harmony back to their world.
