Overshadowed by his older brother Nick's achievements in the increasingly over Backstreet Boys, wee Aaron has made his own blond impact with a string of platinum discs of his own, and the blighter is still only 14. This third (third!) album is a significant step on from early 'classics' such as 'Crazy Little Party Girl', but still some distance from that all important adult market.

Featuring tracks from the movies Pokemon, Rugrats In Paris and Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, it's safe to surmise that 'Oh Aaron' is no 'Kid A'. Instead you get 13 chirpy pop tracks for those tots at that difficult post-Tweenies-but-not-quite-P.O.D stage, ranging from the excruciatingly bad title track - wherein Aaron finds himself in a spot of bother after offering free Backstreet tickets to all 3000-odd of his mates, before his bruv interjects with the "well, you'll just have to support us then" semi-happy ending, to the relatively listenable 'I'm All About You'.

A chill, however, descends with a glance at the sleeve notes, where in amongst the grinsome pics of Aaron with dolphins, is the line: "I always think I am lucky. I am, but I have a dangerous feeling that my life will end soon." Either a canny acknowledgement that it's not going to last forever, or he's setting himself up as a pre-puberty Kurt Cobain and currently bussing the drugs in.

Unless you're under the age of six - avoid.

Score: 2
