Chapter 2

Then Sunday came.  I woke up and went downstairs in my pyjamas because I never got dressed on a Sunday.  My Mum was at work and my Dad was in the back garden working on a dog kennel for Taz, the newest edition to the family.  We lost two dogs.  One in November and one in March, and we felt lost without one.  I had breakfast, lounged around and at 11 o'clock, the doorbell rang.
My Dad couldn't hear it because he was in the garden, So I answered it.
"Hi again!!"  Isaac said, wide awake.  "I hope we didn't wake you..."
"...No, I never get dressed on a Sunday," I interrupted.
I invited them in, and Taylor said that they hoped I didn't mind about the photographer.  They had a photo shoot, and they really wanted to get to know me better, so they based it around 'Hanson - 3 normal guys' which showed them having fun with a fan.
I let them into the living room and I turned the TV on while I ran upstairs to get dressed.  When I had finished, I ran down to find the photographer, Kevin, taking photos of the guys laughing, because their video was on MTV.
I sat down and I looked over to Taylor, and he smiled at me.  I smiled back and felt butterflies in my stomach!  Zac had a camcorder he used some of the time, and he filmed as much as he could, when he wasn't pulling faces for the other camera!
We all went upstairs to my room, and they found a little box I had with 'HANSON' written on it.  I only had a cut out and some stickers I made in it.  But I knew that I'd get more stuff as they did more interviews.  Zac was the first one to find a sticker - it had TAYLOR in the shape of a heart.  I went bright red!  "Oooo, Tay.  Look at this...!"  He said.
Sean came running up the stairs and into my room.  He looked very shocked, because he was one of the people who didn't believe me.
"Is this Sean?"  Taylor asked
"Yeah, that's him," I replied.
Sean then came up with the idea on playing on his playstation.  They played Worms, but Taylor and I just sat on the floor to talk.
"Taylor?"  I asked.
"Just call me Tay.  Everyone else does..."  He replied.
In my mind, I was saying 'I can call you Tay? Argh!', then I said: "What's it like being famous?"
"I don't think of myself as famous, but if you mean 'What is it like doing music?' then I'd say, wonderful.  But we don't get special treatment at home.  We have to do chores and go to bed early!"
"Sounds like living here!"
"So, do you like MMMBop?"  He asked.
"I absolutely adore it.  It's great."
After 5 different games, we all decided to go to Redwell park.  It was alright to go there because the guys wouldn't get noticed there - Not many people used the park!
I was sat opposite Taylor on the tyre swing, then Zac jumped on, which gave me a chance to talk to Zac, and I remembered my exact words to him too.  "Sit still for one second, please?"  And that was a daft thing to ask really.  But still, I got him to say something back...  Even if it wasn't English!
Sean then decided he wanted to have a go too, and although me and Zac were roughly the same size, Taylor preferred to be squashed next to Zac than go bright red and say nothing next to me...!
We all piled next, onto the slide. Isaac sat down first, Zac second, Taylor third, Sean fourth, then I was at the very top.  Unfortunately, where I was so small, I couldn't get the train moving, that and Isaac had his feet right on the floor to stop everyone moving...  But Isaac was a true gentleman and helped me down from the top of the slide, where I was stuck.
Kevin lead us all to the football pitch to take some more pictures, and Sean did backflips to show off.  There was one picture we had done, where we all hung from the goal posts, and had so much fun.  We sat down for a while to talk and have 'friendly' pictures taken, where we'd just sit and smile, but could still have a conversation.  At one point, Kevin didn't take pictures for 15 minutes, because he was saying which famous people he's photographed and, of course, asked us questions about us all, and it gave us a good chance to get to know everyone - even Zac, although he didn't talk much at all to me.  I heard his conversation with everyone else, in between him getting up and jumping about all over the place.
Taylor said it was strange talking to a girl who enjoyed playing football and computer games, but he said he liked it better that way.  Sean ran home to get a football and came back so we could play.  "That's odd,"  I said.
"What's odd?"  Isaac asked
"Well, the fact you guys call it football.  Shouldn't you be saying 'SOCCER' instead?"
"We're used to calling things by whatever they're called in the country we're in."
"Oh...  So if you were in America you'd be saying soccer?"
"Yeah."
"It must be so cool travelling the world."
"It can be, but sometimes, when you're touring you wake up and think 'Where am I?' "
"Oh.  I see your point.  But otherwise it can be cool, I mean instead of looking at pictures of places in books, you can actually go to it and learn a lot more than being stuck inside a classroom.  You must be really brainy too, getting all the attention from your private tutor while you're on the road."
"Well, actually, our parents are our tutors.  They teach us wherever we go.  We've never been to school.  Our Mom said she'd rather have us home-schooled and spend time with us than let us go to school in the week and get bullied..."
"...  I wished my Mum did that.  I've been bullied throughout my school life!  I'll just be glad to get the hell out of Ribston Hall."

Well, as time went on, and we didn't have much else to talk about, we all decided to go back to my house and muck around there until Diana and Walker came to pick up the guys.  We had some sandwiches and then they came.
Luckily, they had a few cups of tea and talked with my parents for ages, I could talk to the guys one last time, before I'd never see them again.
Taylor followed me into the kitchen, and said; "I've had a real great time, thanks.  It was nice to be totally normal again!"
"it's OK.  I enjoyed having you here and I'm going to miss you," I said
"I'm going to... miss you a bit...  I s'pose..."
I went upstairs and he went into the living room before coming upstairs.
"We're going in a few minutes Tay..." Their Dad said.
Isaac, Kevin and the other adults were downstairs, and Sean was playing on Alien Trilogy with Zac, but I didn't know where Taylor was, until he came into my room.
"Hi!"  He said.  "Gotta go soon."
"Yeah,"  I said with my head down.  "I heard."
"What's up?  You've always been a happy chirpy person!"
"It's just, I never thought you'd turn up to the party and I certainly thought you'd never turn up again to see me, and you have and I don't want you to go."
"Time to go!!"  A voice shouted from downstairs.
"I really like you Tay.  I really do!"  I blurted out.
He must have felt sorry for me or something, because he lent over and gave me a kiss on the cheek.  "I promise to write to you,"  and he turned around to see Zac and Kevin in the door way.
"Oooo!  Tay..."  Zac began
"Be quiet!"  Taylor said, sternly.

When they left, they jumped into a van, and drove off, waving to me and my family.
"Did you really kiss her Tay?"  Isaac asked.
"Only on the cheek.  It wasn't a big deal."
"She seems like a very nice girl..."  Said their Mum.
"Yeah, real exciting and adventurous!"  Zac interrupted.

They left to do some promotions, but they managed to get their manager, Chris Sabec, to get them to do a miniature gig near Stroud.  The closest they could get was Cheltenham, but hopefully my Mum wouldn't have minded taking me...
