Last night as I was heading to bed, I had it on and they had a ten minute feature on her with an interview and all. It showed clips of Beauty and the Beast and Toni looked great. Toni was the second performace after LL Cool J performed.....Jamie Foxx brought her out mentioning how she had gone on to sell 20 million records worldwide, and how her heart breaking songs made her so popular...He also said that if she was with him that he wouldn't break her heart but that they would probably break something in the bedroom,then she came out...... It was kind of like the Jay Leno performance. She had on a black leather robe outfit and at the end came out with about 20 dancers and unveiled the silver stringy outfit from the video. Her microphone, or something caught on to her shirt, and she had to turn around and fix it for a minute but other than that the performance was good........ it was pretty good. she had blond hair. May 3, 2000 **Toni getting Married... Dana sends me this article about Toni getting married. (5/2/00, 7 a.m. ET) - Toni Braxton and Kerri Lewis of Mint Condition fame are getting married. The two have been pretty low-key about their wedding plans, but they have already made announcements to their respective families. Braxton's new album, The Heat, hit the streets last week, and Lewis's latest effort, Life's Aquarium, dropped last year. Braxton's latest single, "He Wasn't Man Enough," is Number One on Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop singles chart and at Number Two on the Hot 100 chart. Mint Condition has had success with two successful -- "If You Love Me" and "Is This Pain Our Pleasure" -- released from their latest effort. Braxton and Lewis first met when Mint Condition was the back-up band and opening act for Braxton on her first international tour several years ago. The two got reacquainted not long ago on the set of Braxton's video for "He Wasn't Man Enough." During the shoot, video co-star Robin Givens said that working with actor Michael Jai White was making her nervous; Givens claimed that White's resemblance to her ex-husband Mike Tyson was too much for her to bear on the set (White portrayed Tyson in a television movie about the prize-winning fighter). Enter Kerri Lewis, who took over the lead role in the video and it's been lovely ever since, as Lewis has been seen escorting Braxton everywhere. "I saw a big rock," says one of Lewis' Mint Condition band members of the nuptial plans. An official date and place has not been set yet, although wedding plans are expected to unfold before the year is out. **Official Site... OK The OFFICIAL Toni site is NOW up and running. I have been asked a lot of times why it wasnt working, but it's working now. There are still some pages under construction there, but majority of the site works. Of course, in the news section, They dont have anything you haven't seen here. haha.
