Somewhere, Out there, in the vast Universe there is a power that is stronger than anything we can comprehend....yet so gentle, He can lift each of Us with His hand and carefully put Us back together.....
I have three wonderful Cousins that have been with me pre-internet UPLIFTER and are still with me now, in such an important way.
My Cousin, Shirley started all this particular story off when she ordered me a new keyboard for my webtv unit because they were impossible to get anywhere around here......
That was in Mid May-2002.
On Saturday evening around eight PM, May 25th, the weekend before Memorial Day, We had a small thundershower that came through our area and had one thunderbolt with it, just one, and that bolt....struck my modem in my webtv Unit and fried it....
I had already planned several activities on the net that weekend and in one flash of lightning, I was no longer connected to anything....
I was devistated, hurt, crying, praying, then I started calling places around and couldn't find anyone that stocked Web TV PRODUCTS within 100 miles of our town....I prayed some more...I was a miserable person the entire holiday weekend.
I couldn't even find the phone numbers of anyone I knew online to let them know what had happened to me, because they were all stored on my webtv unit.
I managed to find my other two cousins phone number, PERRY and JAN...and called them. They were out of town for the holiday, but I left a message on their machine....and sit down in gloom once again....
The long Memorial Day weekend was finally over and I pulled myself together after looking all over town and calling every place locally and decided to just "wait and see" what happened.
As I drove to work on the 28th of May, I prayed to the Lord, "Dear Lord, The Web Uplifter Ministry belongs to You. You know where I stand now. It is UP to You If you want me to continue you are going to have to supply these needs.
I am ready to continue as your servant, and I wait, in faith for your answer!"
With that prayer under my belt, I walked into work and began my day's chores.
Within an hour of being there, I recieved a call from my Cousin Jan.
The good news was....She had her Webtv Classic Unit in storage every since she had bought a computer and If I wanted it---it was mine.
She would ship it to me in the next few days....
I hung up the phone and knew I had witnessed another answered prayer....
Shirley, Jan and Perry, three loyal Cousins to God whom I love to call all of Us...."COUSINS UNITED FOR CHRIST!"
The day my package arrived which was on monday, June 3rd, it not only included the web unit, but a printer and a perfectly good keyboard.
Now God had blessed me with enough Keyboards to type until my fingers fell off....
I praised the Lord and as soon as I got on line I wrote to Jan and Perry first and told them I was speechless and they wrote back to me...How God had used several people to make this wonderful event possible....
Here is a portion of that letter...
Dear Kenny:
You do not have to thanks us.
We have only done what the Lord directed us to do.
The web unit was not in use anymore. Just in a box in the basement at my parents house.
The printer did not cost us anything, my sister upgraded her system to one of those super computers and wanted to get rid of it.
So as the saying goes "what is one mans trash is another man's treasure."
And there is no cost for the shipping, my boss said I could send it out on him.
He is a good guy and a great boss.
So like I said before, you don't have to thank us.
God directed us and a few others on this project.
And remember... God can do anything but fail.
So because of the obedience of three Christian Cousins and many prayers that weekend alone, God allowed me to continue the Ministry and it has continued to bless me, heal me, feed me, and bring YOU into my life...All of You...Thanks....
