~~••**God's Promise**••~~


For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel
and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.

And so we will be with the Lord forever.
Therefore encourage one another with these words."

            Apparently some of God's people in Thessalonica were worried about others in God's family who had already died before Jesus' second coming.

Paul assured them that no one who has accepted Jesus will be left behind on that day of days.
In fact, he stated that Jesus will bring back to life those who are already dead and that afterward those who are still alive will be "caught up" to meet him "in the air" (1 Thess. 4:16-17).

There are many different interpretations of this coming event, but one thing is certain: Jesus is coming back to get us so we can be with Him forever--just as He has promised.
