There've been times,
< when I thought joy would never come again.
When I thought I was the only one who cared,
the only one without a friend.
There've been times when I was stuck in the rain,
and there was not a shelter in sight.
There've been times when I believed,
that nothing could go right.
There've been moments in this life of mine,
when I seemed so small compared to everything.
There've been times I felt the only way to release,
was to write a song and sing.
There've been days when the road gets longer,
with each step I take.
And every nightmare seems to come true,
and I just want to awake.
With flower petals surrounding
the dark hole that was my heart.
They began to fill that empty place,
Jesus began to fill that part.
Jesus began to touch my soul,
he put smile upon smile back on my face.
He's filled me up once again,
and has framed my spirit with beautiful white lace.
He's made all that was ugly,
into a beautiful day,
he's set my heart on fire,
in his own special way.
He's caught me, time after time,
even when I'm unaware.
I know he'll never leave me,
he's the only one thats ever really cared.
He's always there in joy,
He's always there in me.
He's my everything, my one true love,
all who know him would agree.
That there is nothing like him,
like the fire he creates inside.
The way he's showed me it's alright to feel,
that I don't have to hide.
